Amazing ice machine
This ice machine makes post-op icing sooooo much easier and more effective - I bought the ice machine for a wrist surgery and have continued to buy the various body part accessories as needed for subsequent surgeries for me and other family members - the ice machine itself is expensive but so worth it - super effective because the icing is colder than you get with other methods - also less painful because it’s not a hard ice pack on sensitive stitches - super durable, clean, not messy, and can even ice when sleeping - great pain relief -Recommend getting the timer too as you don’t forget or sleep through times you should be icing

Durable, easy to maintain and effective
We purchased our machine in 2016 just prior to my knee replacement surgery. I was amazed at how easy it was to use this product and how much it helped in my recovery. Since then we have used it for multiple surgeries, have known two friends who have used it for multiple procedures, and the machine is still going without any complications. I use the machine today for pain management. It is versatile and very helpful in recovery no matter what the condition. I am so impressed not only with the machine, but with customer service for the business. I recently purchased a shoulder pad, and received a call from customer service saying shipping was estimated too high and they were refunding two-thirds of the cost to ship. They could have been dishonest and kept the extra. Their need to be honest and above board is outstanding. I am so impressed with the company, and with their amazing product. You cannot go wrong by getting this machine.

Works better than the universal pad for shoulders
I initially didn’t get this pad with my unit after reading reviews that it ran a little big. I struggled using the universal pad as it didn’t hit completely where I needed cooling for a labrum repair. Glad I purchased this additional pad. It’s been really helpful during recovery now that I’m into PT. I have the bands set where I need them so if nobody is around to help me, I can still use it.

Money well spent…
Two years ago I bought a Polar Active Ice unit with the shoulder pad attachment for use after a rotator cuff surgery. The cold water greatly reduced any discomfort that I was feeling, and allowed me to sleep at night.I had a total knee replacement operation scheduled and ordered the knee pad attachment. It plugged in fine and worked great with no leaks. I have had the knee surgery and am recuperating. The cold water through this pad great lessens the pain. I am able to get by with very little pain medication. This is a nicely designed piece of equipment, and I am thankful that this was available. This was money well spent..

High quality
Definitely delivers cooling to the areas that need it. I have one for the shoulder and now one for the hand/wrist and they work so very very well! Honestly have greatly improved rehab post surgery!! My advice is to freeze a couple bottles of water to put in the cooler. Will last longer and you can cycle bottles between the freezer and the cooler.

No instructions on how to detach the old pad
No instructions to detach old pad. Once I finally got it detached, it works great. Tried to contact them and all they would say was it was the O rings. It had nothing to do with that. It was just difficult to detach. Not really sure how I finally did it.

BUYER BEWARE - This is NOT the SHOULDER PAD
This is a UNIVERSAL pad - marketed as "THE" shoulder pad. This IS NOT the same pad that is shipped with the Shoulder cold therapy cooler. The item arrived on time, but ZERO instructions on how to put it together (multiple velcro straps) or how to correctly put it on your shoulder without it slipping off. There was only a flyer placed in the bag that was scotch-taped closed. There is no way a single person can put this on properly even with full use of both arms, let alone only 1 arm.
