Works just it says.
I use this to connect my tablet / PSTV / Blue-ray Player to my projector. I needed this because my projector only had RCA audio out. This allowed me use an optical out to my receiver to get DTS 5.1. So far it works great. If that changes I post an update.

Doesn't work. DOA
Specs were just what I wanted. Unfortunately the unit did not work. The HDMI video dropped out every few seconds and I never saw any 5.1 audio. Good idea. Too bad it doesn't work. Sent it back.

Does not work with my 42LN5300 LG LED TV. Tried different cables and all three ports. Input to my TV is not recognized.

Non-functional
Unit seemed to "short out" whenever an HDMI cable was plugged into the "output" jack.

The switch appears to be exactly what I needed, but it arrived completely dead.
