Gun enthusiasts seem either to love boresnakes or hate them. I've sure enjoyed these. As someone who used to cut the cloths and use gobs of brushes to clean the barrels of my firearms, having these snakes is great. You can find dozens of videos on YouTube on how to use them, but there's a small part of the snake that has little wire brushes on it; you spray that part and maybe a little more with gun oil; one end is weighted, so you let gravity slide the weight end through the chamber and out the muzzle, and then pulled it through, and voila, barrel clean. Might need a second sweep-through, but rarely a third. Fits my 9mm and even my 44 mag terrific. Wish I'd found these sooner. Holding up well for me even after multiple cleanings. People disagree about whether you should wash boresnakes or just get new ones after a while, but either way, pleased with these. Would recommend.

Real nice cleans really great

I shoot a .22 rifle and they are notorious for dirty ammo and barrel fouling, making a cleaning device like the EZshoot Bore Cleaner an essential item for proper care and maintenance. I purchased this two pack so I could have one for my cleaning bench and one for my range bag. At the range, while my bore is still warm, I like to make a couple of quick passes down the barrel to sweep out the spend powder, primer fouling and soot from the barrel. It's quick and easy, just drop the weighted end of the snake down the barrel in the direction of travel until it appears at the other end. As the fatted piece of material containing the brass bristles approaches the breach, put a couple of drops of your preferred cleaning agent on the bristled area and pull it through the barrel. Repeat once more. If you are at the range and lack having some cleaning agent with you, simply pull the snake through three times. This manner of cleaning the bore removes the 'crud' let behind while shooting, but doesn't affect the 'seasoning' of the barrel and is a great way to extend the time between tearing the firearm down and doing a complete inside and out cleaning. The price is right for the pair, they are effective and durable enough to last for years. While these are for small bore barrels, these snakes come in a variety of sizes to fit almost every rifle and pistol in common use today. One word of caution: If you are placing a recently snaked rifle into your safe for an extended duration (aka next season, until spring, etc.) it is a good idea to run a couple of wet (oiled) patches down the barrel to inhibit rust or corrosion. When it comes to cleaning a rifles bore, the EZshoot Bore Cleaner are the most cost effective way to get the job done.

Good price for 2 snakes. They do the job and fit through the bore of my rifle well. No reason to spend anymore on a bore snake.

Quick and easy way to remove some powder residue from barrel and chamber between matches. This does not substitute a good bore scrubbing with patches and cleaner, but good enough to have the rounds slide into chamber smoothly and not have a first round poi shift. I use on .22lr and .223 rem. barrels.

When purchased I didn’t know there was a wire section on the rope. But it cleans my CZ like a charm! A bit hard to feed up barrel as the rope is not ridged like the bore snake brand.
