I bought this display as an upgrade to an existing 1080p portable monitor I'd been using as a vertical (portrait) add-on to my work from home setup. I already knew that a 15.6" size was ideal for my setup (see the images - this is the portrait monitor on the right of my desk). I also wanted something I can mount on a VESA arm in the future. Of course, it can be used as a landscape display as well, and is just as portable as you'd expect - I expect to carry this with me when I get back to travelling again. The display came in a very nice sturdy box. Unboxing presented me with some film to protect the display, as well as a screen protector (blue-light filter). Underneath were the manual, 2x USB-C to USB-C cables, an HDMI cable, a UK USB power plug, and a tool for smoothing the film onto the screen. I've chosen not to apply that so far. All-in-all, a really comprehensive package - nothing bare-bones here. The screen itself is glossy but not too shiny. It comes with a magnetic case which doubles as a stand if you are using it as a portable item (this itself is better than the screen I'm replacing, since that one has a case that needs to be screwed on to the back - this is far more convenient). On the left side are buttons to bring up a menu and adjust various settings, as well as a power toggle, and a micro-USB connector. On the right are HDMI, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C display/power input port, and a USB-C Power Delivery port if you want to charge devices. Technically, the display identifies itself as model HS156KC with 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60Hz. In the settings, there are options for various display modes including a Game mode, HDR and DCR, with Freesync and Overdrive. I tried it with a USB-C to USB-C cable on my iPad Pro and it worked first time, mirroring the screen. I then set it up with my Windows Surface laptop, and again it works well, really nice sharp 4K display that I think I'll enjoy using (the builtin display on the 15" Surface is not 4K). Finally, for home working I have it setup with my 15" MacBook Pro 2019 model, rotated 90 degrees so that I can read documents and follow social feeds more easily. Very pleased.

A beautiful quality portable monitor, a stunning vibrant 4K responsive display, superb for working on, watching movies or playing games this stunning piece does it all and does it all with style. It's supplied in a good quality box but oddly it isn't branded, not sure why as it's a lovely quality monitor and the brand should be proud of it. In the box you receive the monitor, a nice quality case that also works as a stand, two USB C cables one of which acts as your power cable, the power adaptor itself and a HDMI cable plus instructions. We use many of these portable screens in our house as great to pair with a laptop for more usable area when working or my partner uses them as a large display for her phone when using it as a karaoke player or singing in her choir. Most of ours are 1080p versions but we've been slowly swapping them out for 4k versions such as this one and they're a lovely jump in quality, superb for watching the odd video on as well. It has a superb build quality with small metal switches and a metal body, built to last it's solid and looks superb sat next to the laptop, the stereo speakers in it aren't overly loud but pretty decent and nice and clear and the monitor also has a 3.5mm jack for connecting external speakers or headphones if preferred. It also has an extra USB C port, a mini Display Port and an HDMI ports so plenty of connectivity options for whatever device you're connecting it to. The screen is crystal clear with great colour reproduction and good brightness levels, clear blacks and a good 60Hz refresh rate so ideal for gaming, it even has a very good display angle and much better than some of older models. I wasn't sure about this thing when I first saw it advertised on Amazon, a portable native 4k monitor with mini display port, full HDMI and only needs a single USB-C port for power AND display, for that price? Nah it seems too good to be true, what's the catch? After reading some reviews and checking out some YouTube videos I decided last night to take the risk and just go for it, what did I really have to lose? It arrived today, the box was slightly damaged but everything inside the box was fine and nicely packaged (good job considering the damaged box), I hooked up the monitor to my PC via a mini-display port and wow, I can't believe how good it looks! It's 4k alright, and looks a lot better than my existing £1k monitor (it should do since that monitor is 1440p). I tested a couple of games and videos out at 3840x2160, and even on the smaller 15 inch display it looks insanely good. Quality wise... Its good. good brightness and colour. It serves the purpose it has sound which was unexpected, but don't rely on it as it's almost to not having one. My biggest disappoint is... it some how reset(switches off and on again) itself from anywhere few hrs to every few minutes, so if u watching a movie or something gets very annoying. Because browser gets re arranged and moves to different monitor. It almost makes unusable if u streaming video. If u working n not streaming then it doesn't reset so often. But we all work remotely, so regardless how expensive PC graphics card or monitor you have once u plug this in, even for trade graph or tiny screen for youtube music while u working, it switches off and reset all ur screens... $300 screen good enough to make ur your $10k and high end over $1k screens useless. Don't buy if u planning to stream some video while working. USELESS. Update: Team reached me out and apologised for bad experience and sent me brand new monitor latest version for FREE. I tested it and satisfied I found no screen reset. So I'm giving them now 4 stars :)

I bought this screen to use whilst working from home and rather than having a complete set up on the dining room table, I opted for a simple second screen that I can plug into my laptop and then put away when finished with. I bought this screen because of the 4k resolution and it hasn't disappointed. The images are clear and at 60Hz, the motion in nice and fluid. I have used it with both a Huawei Matebook 13 and a Dell XPS 13 with just the USB-C input and it works without the need for an external power source, although the user guide recommends connecting the power with the supplied charger and cable. If I set it up with the power connected then it also charges the Dell XPS. Also in the box is a screen protector which was a nice touch. I would have preferred to have it factory fitted with the option to remove it rather than trying to fit it myself...of course I made a hash of it with dust, hair and bubbles so that quickly got removed again. The included folding cover attaches with magnets. It feels really good quality with a slight rubber grip texture and protects it nicely when not in use. The cover also functions as a stand for the screen with 2 viewing angles. Overall, a great product and a simple solution for adding a second screen that can easily be put away when not in use. Yes, I would certainly recommend this screen to others.

Broke after moderate use. Avoid.

First purchased in 2022, I have been very happy with this screen. I use is as a second screen for a laptop and wanted both a portable solution and a 3840 x 2160 UHD resolution. Just over a year of ownership passed and the unit developed a problem with one of the buttons on the side becoming non-operational (to alter brightness). I got in touch with the manufacturer via Amazon customer service and the unit was replaced straight away. My customer service experience has been very good, with clear instructions and swift responses. The replacement unit has presumably had a minor update in terms of its design as the buttons on the side are much more sturdy than on the first unit that I purchased in 2022. Based on my experience (the unit has been ideal for my needs and my problem was solved very swiftly) I'd recommend the unit if you are seeking a relatively low cost, portable higher resolution second screen for your laptop. One thing to note, it does operate via USB-C, so the performance of the laptop can be slightly impacted when the second screen is in use. But if you are using it for general stuff like email, browsing, spreadsheeting and writing documents, its just fine.

This is the best 4K monitor I've tried, and the fact that it's portable/can be charged via USB-C is so handy! Customer support is excellent as well. I've ordered several of these monitors over the last couple of years, both for myself and as a present, and I had a few questions on two occasions. Each time, the seller replied within 24 hours and was super helpful. But the best about the monitor is the top-notch visual quality and brightness. They've even further improved the settings over the years. Color accuracy between my Mac and the monitor is superb - although I would recommend not setting nightshift to more than 25%. Otherwise, the monitor (when used as an extended screen) can become a bit too warm/red-looking. But this also depends on the Color Profile you choose, and there are many workarounds, including manual settings. Definitely recommend!
