Memory lane
In high school, I loved the Cirque Du Freak series with a passion, it was my reason for constantly going to the library only to find out soon that it was getting adapted into a manga, I lost my mind. As an adult seeing this large book really brought me back to my teen years, so naturally I preordered it. Once I received it and started reading it, it was such a pleasure for me to reread these volumes. I already preordered the second book and cannot wait to continue.

Manga conversion just seems so right for this story
I've read all 12 of the Darren Shan books in this series and I loved them all dearly. Normally I am hesitant about conversions into any other form than the original. I heard about the movie and was horrified when I watched the trailer; everything was wrong, Darren was wrong, Mr Crepsley was wrong it was just...all wrong. I didn't watch that movie surprisingly. The Manga seemed more promising so I ordered it to give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, the story of Darren Shan translates well into a Manga in my opinion. The characters follow the essence of what they were in the book and I didn't feel anything was misrepresented. In fact, this comic draws very well on those same things that were endearing in the book. The drawing of the characters are excellent and I'm happy to read in it that the author collaborates with the actual author Darren Shan as much as possible which is why the Manga just feels so right when I'm reading.I wish I could think of some more constructive criticism that could help some prospective buyers but my love of this volume is clouding everything so I'm afraid I'm no good. Read another review! :D

Look Out Stephen King and Hayao Miyazakhi!
I finished the actual Saga of Darren Shan just recently, and cried my eyes out for a week. I'd never read anything just as amazing in my life, when I spotted this book on the Kindle Book Store. Not something I'd normally pick up in a shop. But I did. I was familiar with the art of manga (or anime, as others call it) since I watched some movies by Hayao Miyazakhi, whose films go under the name of Studio Ghibli. He is my favourite manga artist, but now he's got some tough competition.Overall, the storyline was clever and dark (though it wavered from the original plotline now and then) and the art portrayed each character with individuality. They looked almost the same as how I pictured them in my head when I read the actual Saga.Definitely buy this!

The manga is beautifully drawn and more less accurate according to the books.I never imagen the characters like the ones drawn in the manga. LOVE IT!
