Works well in my small space and helps control the the humidity to prevent mold in my space. Very easy to use and the water reservoir is very simple to empty when it is full. It does shut off as intended when the water collection chamber is full making for worry free operation . Very convenient very well lit indicator lights for when it is on and when it needs to be emptied. Very quiet operation with no noise that i can notice. It seems to throw off very little to no heat when it is operating. Very sleek and compact and does what it is intended to do. Very nice plug and walk away operation right out of the box.

My bathroom door (wood) wouldn't shut all the way because it gets swollen during most humid/rainy days. And for a NYC apartment we can't really fit one of those big fancy dehumidifiers. This little guy WORKS WONDERS!! I initially left it on my bathroom overnight, and within a day or two of having this Gurin dehumidifier, my bathroom door finally shut all the way! Now I have it all over the apartment, especially on those rooms that are carpeted. I love it! Size is perfect! You can barely hear it when it's on. It shuts itself off automatically when the little tank is full. Having it in the bathroom, the tank would fill up within 2 days or so. I will definitely be ordering another one for other spaces in the home. 100% worth it!!

To save money, my company decided not to run the AC's after hours and on weekends. Unfortunately, this allows for the humidity of the Boston Summer to build up in the building and make all the surfaces sticky and dampen all of the paperwork. I picked this up to help reduce this effect in my office and it has done its best. I had it running for about 24hours in the office and came back to the tank being about 1/3 full. Its not a noticeable difference really when sitting in the space, but because the offices are connected via AC ducts, its essentially trying to work the whole building. It is effective at reducing the humidity in the air and would likely work wonders in a confined space. It is "quiet" but not silent. When sitting right next to it, its about the same volume as a small desk fan. With the hum other other electronics and the building AC (when its on), the sound is barely noticeable at any distance.

There's nothing fancy about this dehumidified but it's small, it's pretty powerful, and it keeps on trucking (provided you remember to empty it periodically.... if you're like me there's an auto shut off feature you'll be utilizing a little under once a week) I live in San Francisco, so it's damp. There's a lot of fog and mist and water in general. It's both a blessing and a curse to live on a tiny 7 mile strip of land surrounded on 3 sides by water. It makes for lovely views but a lot of the outdoors tries to sneak inside. I have a short haired dog that gets into everything and a long haired cat. I got this a few months back after a flea infestation to help clear it up. (Most biting bugs don't do well in either egg or larvae phases without humidity, fleas especially). It worked well for that. I use it along with pet flea meds to keep my home flea free. It's also helped to cut down on those gnarly little moths who had the nerve to try to eat all my favourite cotton clothing. It's also helped with my mold allergies.

2019 UPDATE Used both units for over a year and in both case the Power Pack stopped working. They replaced the original and it worked for about a year and then it went out again. Seems like the best you can get is a year on the power supply. This last time around my requests for support went unanswered. I ended up buying power supplies to replace the ones that went BAD so if you don't mind doing that then you should buy it. Was satisfied and now disappointed with the product and customer service. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dual purpose. Recently used to help dry interior of SUV after shampooing carpets. Humidity here in the GC is very high and it takes a long time to dry things out. Left it on for a day and was able to help dry it out much quicker and helped eliminate issues with damp carpet odor. Afterwards, I placed it in our large master closet that lacked an air register vent and have been emptying it every day or two. Never realized how stagnant that closet was especially since we close the doors on it often. We run our A/C unit constantly so would have though our air was pretty dry to start with. Beats the heck of refilling and disposing of Damp Rid containers.

I loved this product so much I bought two extra. I was visiting my family in Houston when Hurricane Harvey hit and I got water in my car. I needed a small dehumidifier to make sure that mold didn't grow and purchased this. It works wonderfully. When I came back to Florida, I moved into a rental house that does not have the best insulation. It is very humid in Florida, so I decided to get a small humidifier. I have the original one in the bathroom, one for the kitchen, and one I alternate between bedrooms. It is very quiet. In the middle of the night when everything is quiet and I go to the bathroom , I can only hear a little hum. It pulls the water out of the air. I have to empty it every 2-3 days because of how humid Florida is. It is nice that it will automatically shut off when full.

I own three of these dehumidifiers. I bought one last year and waited for nine months before choosing to buy two more. The first one worked so very well that I bought the next two, and between these three little devices, we were able to pull about 16 to 20 ounces of water from the air in our downstairs floor, one in each bedroom. These little devices are quiet, use very little electricity, and are easy to clean: I just use one of those tiny jewelry brushes and scrub the front of the intake vents about once every three weeks, and that's it. So if I love these so much, why am I giving this product only three stars? For the same reason another poster did: almost one year to the day after I bought the first dehumidifier, it just ... died. It's as if the thing was on a timer. Normally, I buy a warranty with everything I buy on Amazon, notably for digital storage devices. I did not buy one for the first dehumidifier, nor the for the last two, as the first one seemed to be chugging along so well. My advice to anyone who wants to buy one of these is to buy a two-year warranty. I am here to replace the first one even thought it died without warning, because with a warranty, it will be worth the cost. These devices work really, really well. They are easy to operate. They are small. And actually, if yours is not working well, please call the company or replace it, because you have a dud. My three all drew massive amounts of water out of the air.

Great product! I use this literally everyday! It has decreased the mold in my room and my clothes don't feel moist due to the high humidity. I live in a converted garage and the moisture gets trapped easily. I spent a lot of money on disposable moisture beads and Damprid products. The products didn't seem to help the moisture in my room at all. I even bought the RV recommended one in hopes of it doing a better job, nope. My clothes seemed to be damp after a day or 2 in my closet. This little Gurin machine literally collects a tray of water a day if used continuously for my room personally. Unlike damprid, the crystals got moist but I felt no difference in the air. The Gurin is definitely a life changer, it isn't too loud, sounds like a laptop hum...hopefully that makes sense. My clothing and air feel dryer now, I don't wake up feeling as though I am suffocating. This does a great job for my bedroom and bathroom. I recommend this to anyone. Not sure how bad it is on the electricity bill because I got it but it is worth it either way.

Quiet, (can sleep) work steady but slow. Did make a differance after a few days, according to my hydrometer.

Though at the outset you might feel it's expensive, this little Genie has changed the air in my house... We stay in the ground floor apartment and have always had the problem of mold and very dense air to the edge of giving us suffocation... I used to use Absorbia boxes and sachets all over the house but they would all fill up very soon and were not economically viable... This little dehumidifier has changed our lives and collects 250ml water once in 3 days which I simply throw away... It is now over a month and I'm using it without any hassle... small n compact, easy to use product meant for small spaces... I strongly recommend this for those of you struggling with humid dense air in your premises...

I’ve only had it for about 6 weeks but so far it’s working well. While I can’t measure the humidity it reduces, half a litre of water is collected over 48 hours and when the windows are closed, despite heavy monsoon rain in Goa, the ambience is pleasant. It’s doing it’s job well. Will have to test longevity. I’ve now had it for 3 years but this last year, it’s capacity to draw Walter diminished and where earlier I could get 240 ml a day, it doesn’t fill up much any more. Also I paid 6k for it and now the prices is over 15k....

It is good for a very small room of about 50 to 60 sq. feet only. It's not making much difference in humidity for my room which is 120 sq. feet. Over priced.

this product is of no use in India as this is of 110 V and we have 220 V in India. Why amazon is selling products which can not be used in India
