Rlpya Gimbal Guard for DJI Phantom 3 -Full Carbon Protects Gimbal & Camera

The guard is light weight but very durable. I can see how it would save the camera and gimble if you land in the wrong place or hit something while in flight. I have bent it back and tried to cut it, it can withstand a decent amount of force and wearing. I would not worry about using the ties, as it has a very firm grip on the landing legs, makes it somewhat difficult to actually remove when trying to put in a backpack, so I modified the pack to hold it with the protector on. Only issue is if you use a lens attachment for sun flare, it can get caught on the protector during startup or when pointing directly down. This could be resolved with the removal of some material directly under the camera, maybe a slightly redesigned model will be released later for this very reason.

Fits perfect. Easy to assemble (four small zip-ties) and adds some needed reinforcement to the legs of the Phantom 3 Professional. Very suitable for my purposes. I does partially restrict installation of the gimble lock; but it can still be installed with a little bit of finesse.Operate your aircraft during set up so you do not install the reinforcement in the wrong location.

Carbon fiber, and keyed so there's no doubt how to position the guard. It makes the landing skids feel a bit more rigid. I can't say how well it actually works as far as guarding the camera and gimbal, and I hope I never find out first hand. It comes with small cable ties to keep the guard in place. It doesn't seem to have any negative effects on the vision positioning system, as far as I have seen. All in all, it seems like a good bit of extra protection for the price.

Provides great protection from rough landings and possible items like curbs and rocks hitting your camera when landing. It also provides extra stability to the legs of the drone. I suggest it to anyone looking for similar item.
