Performacide Air Care Solutions are odor eliminators that utilizes a pre-measured chlorine dioxide generating pouch system to chemically break down stubborn odors. The vapor system uses a pouch to eliminate odors in confined spaces. Pouch can be used as either a fast release or slow release system. One 10 gram pouch will treat an area approximately 1,000 cu ft. Does not leave residue after treatment, and no masking perfumes or scents.

This worked well on odd urine-ish smell
Disgusting idiots lived in our house before we bought it. We painted every square inch of the house and refinished the hardwood floors and got rid of all of the pet and smoke (why people stink up their home with animals and cigarettes is beyond me) odors except for a lingering odor in one room. I don't know what it was, but it seemed like it could be some kind of animal urine smell, and it would not go away despite numerous scrubbings of the wood flooring. I figured for the price, it was worth trying the odor eliminator. The room is about 10ft x 10ft and we used one package. We activated the pack about 8 at night, sealed off the room, and left it till the afternoon of the next day. The bleachy smell was rather strong for about two days so we left a window open and closed the door. After about a week, the bleach smell was diminished to the point that the room just had a "clean" smell. The urine odor was undetectable for a few weeks afterward. It has been many weeks now, and the urine odor is very very faint. So faint that it isn't worth using the second backup pack of odor eliminator we bought.

Way Overpriced, but they work well
We have used these for years to keep our RV fresh inside and to combat mildew, which is a real problem in Florida. These used to last a long time, but the manufacturer decided to cheapen their product and put less chlorine dioxide in each sachet, so they only last a few months at best. They do work, and if the humidity rises, more chlorine is released, and you can smell it working, as it smells like a university swimming pool.Even so, it's very frustrating to me that StarBrite is charging a fortune for these sachets that now have 1/10 the volume of chlorine dioxide in them that they used to have. And, I know, as I bought a whole case of these in the past to do a large basement. Now, they are practically unaffordable.

Scary stuff
This is freakin' scary stuff. Do not buy it. It's incredibly toxic and makes any room you use it in uninhabitable for far more than the 24 hours other reviewers claim. I set this out in a fairly large space. Sure, it temporarily killed the odor, but I felt like I was getting cancer - and then the odor returned. Nasty stuff. Avoid it.

Useful but be careful
First of all, it really works. Our apartment has a cat can burst out and rotten in a corner for a month. The horrible odor is gone completely after I use it.However, the next day I can still smell the odor of ClO2, and since that day my throat has been burnt for 2 days. I really think it is the cause.

I got this to help get a smell out of ...
I got this to help get a smell out of my car that was a mix of car urine and natures miracle (which didn't work and I would NEVER suggest working)This product helped with the urine but not nature's miracle. It's almost impossible to get out. Going to try another Odor remover that is more industrial. Still works, I just either need something to stronger or I need to set my chair on fire lol.

does the job
Chlorine dioxide destroys odors. In my case, the cat litter disposal bucket (a 5 gallon bucket with lid) stays odor-free for two months. this manufacturer sells the identical product with varying packaging, and the prices are not always the same; buy whichever is cheapest at the moment.

It only does a fair job
It's great that you can use it as a room shocker or in slow release. I put it in a 12x12 foot room with a high ceiling and used it as slow-release. It did a so-so job, but certainly not great. I live in a dry climate, so it may have just dried out.

Need a large pack size
This needs to come in a bigger pack. You have to buy alot for a large area. It worked it some areas but will need to be redone. We had to buy 10 packs for 1,000 sq ft and will have to be redone. I ended up ordering large kits from somewhere elseIt does smell like a pool when complete but Im ok with that as long as it goes away after being vented.
