Nitecore NTP31 Bolt Action Tactical Pen with Tungsten Steel Glass Breaker with NitecoreSt Sticker

I was looking for a solid pen for defense and for an emergency glass break. This is an unassuming pen without tactical graphics, gnurling, beveled edges or an exposed glass break. The pen is slim and comfortable. It writes well and the action is smooth. The bolt moves up and locks for the glass break and moves down and locks for the pen. The pen is easily disassembled and is stable. Overall I am pleased with the design.

Who doesn’t love a good pen. Especially one with form and function. This pen definitely fits the bill, this is the quintessential tacticool pen. It writes well, and is comfortable in the hand. But it is a bit small so it takes some getting used to if you have big hands. The glass breaker is a nice touch as sometimes the knives I carry don’t have them. The bolt action is smooth and is well built with no play. The cartridge writes well (the gelions are sold on amazon too which is a plus). Overall I highly recommend this pen whether as a tacticool tool or just as a nice EDC pen.

I wanted to get a pen I could use everyday that was a little more sturdy and specific to me. I wasn't looking for anything crazy or expensive and this fit the bill. Comes with a nice case and feels really good in the hand. No real hot spots or areas that are uncomfortable. The action lever for the ballpoint pen is very fidgety and mostly smooth. Given the price point I'm fine with it being a little sticky here and there. The action is mostly smooth. The top of the pen has a small point for breaking glass etc. Honestly, not sure how useful that is but given the design and the fact that it is metal, I'm sure it would do the trick in a pinch. The writing itself is not bad and I like the look of the ink. I will say, however, that occasionally the ink gloms up on the first time writing something if you haven't used the pen much. Other than that no issues. The pocket clip is solid, sturdy and has just enough wiggle room to fit most pockets etc. This is a great bang for your buck and I think will meet most people's needs.

This is definitely a five star purchase for myself. I bought this in April and it has held up beautifully as an EDC pen. It writes beautifully and it’s still on its original cartridge. The action on the bolt is smooth enough for me and satisfying to fidget with when I can. At first purchase the price seemed steep for one pen. But after using it for extended periods of time, I am 100% happy with the purchase. It’s a definite recommendation from myself.

If you're looking for a good quality pen, get this. Construction, smoothness of the action and durability are all there. Best coating I've ever seen on a pen. Good weighybfir writing. Survived a 20 foot drop to rough concrete without a scratch. The only part it's worn off on is the tip, where it dented while in my tool bag and I had to take a screwdriver to open it up

The bolt action down (deploying the ink cartridge tip) is smooth and easy and is great to fidget with. It does squeak a little bit. Hopefully that will go away. The bolt action up (deploying the tungsten steel), however, is "gritty" and sticks. It is usually stubborn going into the locked position. It also squeaks. I'm hoping that it'll smoothen out with usage. I don't care for the ink cartridge it came with. I may try another refill that I like if I find that the bolt action improves over time with use. Overall, I like the appearance and build quality. It is lightweight and a good length. I wish it was a little bit thicker though. The clip works well. It is sturdy and stiff but clip easily when slipping into a pocket.

After 2 years I think 5 stars is accurate. Strong design Multiple refill style options My gripes: The provided refill does not last long Stainless steel clip is not strong after 2 years of wear so it would be nice if a replacement was available.

I loved the way this pen looked and felt. Within the week the clip screws were loose. I tried to tighten them up VERY carefully and the threads instantly stripped. Every other threaded area had red loctite and was dang near impossible to unscrew. Then the clip screws... The action is also pretty rough but did smoothe out a bit with some gun oil. The nub that everyone has already said wears out, is already starting to wear and I can see silver showing through the coating.

Great pen.. has tactical features… only a drawback is its refill, gel based one. Ball point pen would have been better

My first high quality pen. Feels and writes great. Not too heavy.

Very solid cool pen for any gun fanatic.

The pen is good, but the packaging was crushed.
