Hessaire MC18MT 1,300 CFM Evaporative Cooler - Blue

We love this product - so much so that we recommended it to 2 friends who also bought one. We like to spend time out on our deck, and this cools us down enough so we can still enjoy being on the back deck even when the weather is hot.

For use outdoors or open areas like a garage. Cooling is by evaporation (hence the name Evaporative Cooler) Humidity matters. The higher the humidity, the less evaporation and the less cooling effect. Also, evaporation only cools the air down 10 to 20 degrees from surrounding temperature. In other words, don't expect this unit to blow out 68 degree cold air when the temperature is 95 degrees. I live in central California where temperatures are usually 95 to 110 degrees and relative humidity is less than 40%in the summer. This is the ideal environment for an evaporative cooler and it allows me to work in my garage during the hot summer months. We also use it when sitting on the back porch. Of course, the cooling effect is greatest when standing/sitting directly in front of the unit. Filling it with water is easy and even when filled with water, the unit is easy to push around. To keep the mineral deposits from clogging up the works, I run a little vinegar through it a few times throughout the summer and before I put it away for the winter. I wish it had the ability to oscillate to cover a wider area.

i use this cooler in my garage, i attached the garden hose to it so i don't need to keep filling it. even though it wouldn't actually cool the garage you will feel cool. i like it .

I had great expectations for 28 days it worked as promised . 29 th day started breaking circuits every time it was unplugged and plugged in it broke the circuit . Plugged in every outlet outside. Will be returning on the 29 th day . Model McDonald’s 18. And yes followed the instructions on troubleshooting. Also e mailed Hessaire .no response

Too fragil. Customer service ok. Good brand but this particular model we do not recommend.

I love these units, they keep the rooms very comfortable and are so easy to use. The only thing that needs to be mentioned is that I only use them when I’m home because you must watch the water level. Four hours almost thenyou must refill the tank.

Best cooler in the market!

This thing works, but as others have commented, it raises the humidity as it lowers the temperature. If you are in an enclosed environment, the mugginess can almost be as annoying as heat (almost). I don't regret buying it , but I only use it when I really can not tolerate the heat. Otherwise, I would rather not deal with the increased humidity. I have not tried this outdoors yet, but I think it will work better in an outdoor setting since the humidity will not be as concentrated in one area.
