Morinaga Organic Silken Tofu, 12 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Wow I love this stuff. I make a nice sour cream substitute with a little lemon. Add lime juice and grated lime peel, salt and pepper and cilantro and its crema! I love making vegan chocolate mouse with melted dark chocolate and a bit of agave syrup in a blender. My husband really loves this product too. Mixed with a salsa, it makes a super creamy dip. Also, chill it, make a little sweet sauce with ginger and agave syrup, and have it cold as a nice treat after an Asian home made meal. It is delicious just like that!

My local supermarket sometimes carries organic silken tofu and sometimes doesn't. I needed to find a more consistent supply and gave this a try. I'm not going back to the supermarket ones anymore. This silken tofu is great and I have no complaints! There's very little to no "bean" aftertaste to it, it's not liquidy like the supermarket one, and the case of 12 I bought has a long shelf life to it (about 11 months before it expires). You'll need clean scissors to open the individual product container, but no big deal. I'll be purchasing more on a regular basis.

I love having boxed silken tofu on hand. It's great for puddings, cheese, vegan mayo, etc. I wish they carried Organic Firm but this one works just fine if you're looking for Organic - which is strongly recommended for soy products. The shelf life is quite long - although I use mine well before then. I would recommend.

I am so glad Amazon carries organic tofu, it is hard for me to find anywhere else. And I don't know why anyone would eat non-organic tofu. But to each their own, I guess. This tofu is fine -- tastes fresh and stays fresh well past its expiration date in my experience. Great for dressings, sauces, desserts, and smoothies.

Got this April 3, 2025 and I got 12 boxes of the new shrinkflation packaging which is 10.8 ounces each instead of 12 ounces each. The pic and description posted need to change/be updated.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is my go-to for silken tofu! Great product, great price!

Great for vegan pudding and sauces! I love that this is shelf stable with no refrigeration needed!

This is the third time I have bought this product and normally it's excellent. However, my third and most recent purchase is terrible. The taste, texture, and water contact were totally off from what it normally is and it's not appetizing at all. It's un eligible for a return so I won't be buying this product again.
