Super affordable, amazing quality, takes clear crisp photos with my Nikon 5500.

It's decent item however it should be built better not out of plastic. But as far as I see and I haven't fully tested it it seems okay I will give another review once I see the images.

Ottimo obiettivo attacco Nikon F per ritratti, montato su Nikon DX, sfuocato molto bello, messa a fuoco automatica silenziosa e rapida, diaframma a 11 lamelle, praticamente rotondo anche chiedendolo, in più è elettronico rimane stabile nelle raffiche, unica nota negativa la messa a fuoco manuale, che essendo elettronica, bisogna fare diversi giri di ghiera ( fluida e precisa) per coprire l'intera escursione, problema che verrà sicuramente risolto con un aggiornamento firmware, essendo appena uscito in versione Nikon F.

I bought the Meike AF 85mm f/1.8 SE II for my Nikon F, and honestly, I’m thrilled with it. After just a few shoots, it was clear that this lens performs far beyond what its price tag suggests. What impressed me most is the outstanding sharpness in the center of the frame. It delivers impressive results even at f/1.8, so you can shoot wide open without hesitation - which is fantastic for portraits. It also produces beautiful, natural colors and a very pleasing bokeh that renders the background softly and isolates the subject wonderfully. The autofocus is reliable and precise on my Nikon. It has nailed the focus every time during my portrait sessions, giving me absolutely nothing to complain about. I’m also very pleased with the build quality. The lens feels high-quality, sits comfortably in the hand, and makes a solid overall impression. Another major plus - and one that shouldn't be underestimated - is that the Nikon F-mount makes it easy to adapt the lens for other systems. I’ve used it not only on my Nikon F but also on a Nikon Z and a Fuji X using the appropriate adapters. This makes the lens significantly more versatile, allowing it to be used across multiple camera systems - a real added value. The attached photos were taken during a portrait shoot at a palace estate. That setting really allowed the lens to shine: crisp sharpness on the eyes, beautiful background blur, and a wonderfully harmonious overall look. My verdict: If you’re looking for a fast 85mm portrait lens without spending a fortune, the Meike AF 85mm f/1.8 SE II offers image quality that genuinely surprised me. For me, the price-to-performance ratio is spot-on in every respect. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
