Inspirational
I saw Rosemary on Landscape artist of the year and loved her art work. Inspired by her collage I bought this book and absolutely love it. I have started doing my own collage work and find her book great for ideas and inspiration.

Not good enough.
Item was damp when delivered, this is a book about The artists work. She seems to think Collage is a only spontaneous art form, this is not true, also much of the book is about printing techniques. If you are serious about collage books by Gerald Brommer are far more useful than this rather odd and slanted work.

Poorly Printed Book
Im sorry to say this book was printed on poor quality paper and the wording was very faint. The illustrationsalso were dull and colourless. Returned this item.

Any practical art book should inspire and excite
There is a tendency for practical art books to attempt to TEACH in a very structured way, To be told to do things in a particular order. I afraid this 'switches me off,' and what I want is a book suggesting and encourages in a gentle way. This book certainly inspired and excited me. The collection of work in the first section can only described as gorgeous (If very much of a theme), while the second part shows different printing techniques. The colours are beautiful.I am a mixed media artist in the sense that I do a great many things. This book would I think appeal to printers who want to change from printing plenty of one image in a run and want to liberate themselves. and perhaps even using using a sewing machine.! It's not a book for a beginner who needs more structure, and certainly the work is very different from some of the other collage books- which was why I chose it, and I am delighted I did- it's a book to browse, so having the sections as they are arranged is exactly right. The colour printing is good quality.and the text interesting,. Not a great many pages but enough to cover the subject well. It is a very long time since I have readd an art book from cover to cover.Ps On the strength reading the book I am etching images, taking a photograph / painted and coloured background to go in power point presentation which will go on the surgery website to show the history of a 147 year building. The figures/ etchings will then be used to make a collage to go in a prime site in Reception. It's got to be good! But I am really enjoying the challenge (Of course I had to research the history first - Lockdown project!
