This is my third Stanwood copper wind spinner.They are unique, beautiful and stand the test of time. If you want them to remain copper colored, simply coat with permalac or another metal coating.My error, I attempted to install the bearing onto the wrong pole, and ended up emailing customer service on a Saturday morning. Within 5 minutes they CALLED me, and then face-timed to solve the problem.That type of customer support is unheard of in today's world. Thank you!

This works as advertised. It is larger than I expected. I've never seen it spin very fast but I don't believe it's designed to spin fast. I left mine unvarnished so that it will develop a patina over time.Very sturdy pound the center pole into the ground about 12 inches then there are 3 supporting stakes that have a ring on one end to go over the center pole and those are 4 or 5 inches long each.

SMALL SCREWS MADE THE FINAL ASSEMBLY DIFFICULT.

Unique and beautiful

We love this modern wind sculpture! It’s sturdy and the materials are first rate. It looks more like a sculpture than a garden ornament. We have a metal fire dept vent in our yard which marks a rural water tank that I always thought could be a sculpture base. I spotted this on Amazon but we ordered it directly from the company, so we could include the “deck” mounting bracket ($19.95 extra) in the package. It’s listed as an accessory on the website. I called to place my order & the person that answered was friendly & knowledgeable. The assembly instructions are clear. You can call the company for advice but I didn’t need to. I recommend that you build the sculpture as I did on a table…it would be too easy to drop screws, washers and bolts in the grass! They did include 2 extras. For the bracket assembly, we swapped out the wood screws meant for a deck, to #8-32 metal screws and used a metal drill bit, marking the 6 hole locations with a sharpie. We will let the copper age outside. I was inspired to get this design as its in the style of George Rickey’s sculptures. The scale is of course much smaller than his, but it’s a really affordable substitute! Such a fun successful project!
