Years ago when I first tried the L'Occitane brand hand cream, I was really taken by the fragrance and how well it seemed to moisturize. But it's expensive. One day I came across this product online and thought I'd give it a try. It's just like the brand name product. Smell, feel and moisturizing ability. I bought another and will keep buying it for the foreseeable future. After all, hand sanitizer isn't exactly easy on the hands. Really not sure what they mean when it asked us to rate warmth. But I'd give this product 5 stars overall.

I’d previously ordered and loved the Lavender version of this hand cream. The original formula has a lot of reviews complaining that the scent is “like old lady baby powder.” Others say they love the original scent. I wanted a tube for the store I own and run because we have to wash our hands constantly (not just because of Covid) due to working with dusty old books and, well, cash and customers. And I didn’t want to smell strongly of Lavender in the store; my male assistant didn’t want to, either.So I ordered the Original scent. I found the Original scent to indeed smell strongly of baby powder when I first applied it. The scent fades pretty fast, and you’re left smelling, well, “clean.” It’s pleasant, nondescript. Just what I needed for something in the workplace.BTW, where people get “old lady” baby powder smell from is curious to me. What part of the smell is “old ladies”? It smells like Johnson’s Baby Powder, folks. If that smells like old ladies to you, what do babies smell like to you?

I had found a similar type of hand cream when I was in the South of France and wasn’t able to find a replacement here. The one I had was lavender scented and came in a tin tube, definitely old school design. This brand PreProvence looks very similar , also comes in the tin tube . It’s a thick cream and the scent I bought “ NaturalShea Butter or Buerre deKarate” smells divine. It smells fresh and not flowery. I LOVE it and will continue to buy it on Amazon Subscription.

This is a great product that is priced competitively against L’Occitane shea hand creams, the holy grail of hand moisturizers! It absorbs fast and feels so luxurious. The Original scent is reminiscent of L’Occitane’s very own original, albeit a bit more powerful in the powder scent. Not to worry…the powder scent mellows out within an hour if you’re awake and doing stuff. If you go to bed with it on, I find that the powdery smell does persist after a good night’s sleep. This may bother some people that are normally put off by powder scents. If that’s you, I would recommend trying other scents of this product since the moisturizing formula is awesome!

Dang, this stuff smells awful. I have the original scented lotion and apparently "original" means the strong odor of baby powder and nursing home. Seriously, this stuff stinks in such a bad way. I'm about to go wash it off with soap, because the smell of it is that gross.Absolutely don't recommend.

This shea butter is AMAZING. You may think that one brand is the same as another? But I've tried a couple other ones, and found they get grainy over time. This tube delivers rich, thick, creamy shea butter as you need it. The only thing is that you need to keep it at room temperature (or warm it up to that) before it will extrude easily from the tube.I put this butter on my nails EVERY night before bed. I've had split nails for easily TEN years. Since removing my gel polish (for good, sadly!), keeping my nails trimmed, lightly buffed and moisturized with this rich cream, I have CURED those split nails. it took a good 2.5 months of daily attention, but seriously, I had just 3 nails that ruined many clothes and drove me NUTS with their never-ending split. Since I am over 60, I figure this is part age-related, but also I live in a very dry area.Best thing you can do to fix split nails permanently is (rule out the fungus component) treat them to an emolient like this every single time you wash your hands. It takes dedication for a good couple of months, but now I am in maintenance mode - LOVING my utterly snag-free nails. I definitely recommend this Pre de Provence shea butter as part of my daily ritual for healthy nails. I even smooth it on my hair ends to keep them from fly-away.

The moisturizing aspect of this hand cream is great. I like that it doesn't completely absorb, although not everyone may appreciate that. Unfortunately, the scent is a real turn-off. It is a kind of powdery smell as others have described, but what I really dislike is how strong it is. Maybe if it was more subtle it would be more tolerable, but it is pungent. Great if you love a strong baby-powderish smell, a deal-breaker if you don't.

UPDATE: The smell gets worse as you get deeper in the tube. To all those who said this smelled like their grandma: I’m sorry. Nobody’s grandma should smell like this.This does soften your hands, but it’s greasy, a little sticky. And the smell of the Original is certainly, well, original! (What IS that smell?)Not bad, but I don’t think I’ll buy again.

La crema me ha dado excelentes resultados y la recomiendo ampliamente, no deja sensación grasosa y eso es importante en una crema de manos, aparte el aroma es rico.

I purchased this a year ago in an airport as I was desperate for a good hand moisturizer. As a nurse living in a cold climate it quickly proved to be the best moisturizer I have ever purchased. With winter approaching I purchased 6 more tubes to get me through the winter. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way.

As a golfer, I have a lot of Sun damage on my arms and legs and when I use this product my skins feels wonderful. I buy (4) tubes at a time and I always have one at my work station, golf bag, auto & home. I just wished they made a bigger Tube but a little drop goes a long way.
