The pole arrived as expected, in good shape, and much sooner than expected. When we installed it and began to wire the post, we realized, after two hours of rewiring, that the sensor sent with the pole did not work. We found this out by replacing the sensor sent with the pole with the sensor from our old pole. I have contacted the company twice and have yet to receive a response, hence the one star. I just want a replacement sensor; the pole is installed and I have no issues with it at all. The same pole was available for order from Home Depot; I might order from them next time as the customer service is immediate and in person. Will update this review if and when I receive a response.**Sunday, Sept. 8th - received a message from the company five days ago - they promise to send a replacement by USPS. Will update when it arrives. **Update again - new sensor arrived as promised so upgraded to 5 stars!

The light pole looks great in my front yard. Really lights up the area. The solar eye and accessory plug is a nice option. You can plug in lights for holidays and wrap them around your pole.

This is exactly what i was looking for, i had to cut it down a little to make it work with the underground wiring, but it looks great!

This pole can really get erect. It's sturdy, easy to set-up, and won't go limp. The power outlet on the shaft comes in hand for seasonal decorations. I stuck mine in the front yard and the neighbors love it!

I replaced my twenty-two year old Solus lantern post with this new type that has an outlet for Christmas lights and a sensor that causes the Post Light to go on at dusk and off at dawn. I does just that. It is a nice feature to have, when it gets dark early and you return from the shopping trips and the yard light is on. Also, it conserves electricity to go off automatically at dawn and it prolongs the life of the lightbulb.

The package arrived intact & without a mark on it, The packaging was sturdy and well secured. When I removed the post from the package it had a large dent in it about 18" from the end that goes in the ground. The dent was about 2" long and 1/2" high. There is no way that the post could have been damaged in transit, or the cardboard packaging would have been damaged also. This defective product was dented before it was shipped. Due to schedule constraints I had to install the post and could not return it. This supplier needs to improve its quality assurance efforts. I will not buy, or recommend this supplier in the future.

Love the whole concept of this like now light; however if using the outlet the plug-in is upside down for many appliances, which means the cover plate is opened at it's fullest when plugging something into it.
