As good as a freeze-dried spud can be. Will buy more.
Due to being dehydrated/freeze dried, these cuded taters lose all density when hydrated, but they taste fine. In fact they taste just like a raw potato straight out of the can. Once hydrated they fry up nicely, or can be used for tater cakes etc. Not recommended for soups though due to texture, which is an unavoidable consequence of being freeze-dried.I'de buy these again, and the high quality has me thinking of trying some of this brands products!

Healthy & tasty snack, stays fresh & crunchy for months once opened.
It stays nice and crunchy when opened for months. I eat it for a crunchy healthy snack, and it is great for my two Conure parrots too. They love crunchy things, and it is a great way to add more healthy vegetables to a picky birds diet.

Always good
Freeze dried, always good quality and taste great. Fair price for the quality and this lasts a long time.

Good for soup
I bought this will high, probably unrealistic, expectations. This didn’t hold the shape and ended up being a bit mushy. It will be great for soups but I’m not going to use it for backpacking. In the event of an emergency, anything tastes good so I would say it’s perfect for emergency use.

Good product
These are great to have on hand. As a family of two, fresh potatoes go bad prior to use, these can be used anytime without a run to the store.

Love these potatoes
I bought them for our food storage. In the interest of having things that we like, we taste tested. They are very easy to rehydrate. It’s wonderful not to peel and dice. They taste just like the potatoes I would’ve peeled and diced when I’m making a stew or soup. This dehydrated food is all expensive, so the only thing I’ve been able to figure out is to watch for when the prices go down and then purchase. it definitely is something to have in your food storage. If you can afford buying it works just like real potatoes without all the work and it shelf stable. I didn’t even takeoff the star for the high price. It’s convenient, and it’s that good.

Makes a great snack.
I admit, it takes getting used to. I put it out in a bowl and grab handfuls throughout the day. Right out of the can with no preparation it has a similar mouth feel as popcorn. It has a mild broccoli flavor. It’s great for a long drive. The only issue is the flowerettes between your teeth when you reach your destination. I’ve not tried rehydrating. So far, I prefer it right outta the can.
