Elan Publishing Company HARDCOVER Combination Plan and Record Book - 8 Period Teacher Lesson Planner (Woodgrain)

This is a quality planning book, with helpful sections for recording student grades and attendance. The cover is a thick material which feels sturdy and looks good with the floral design. I like the bookmark for marking the week. The pages are thick enough that pens do not bleed through and stain other pages. It is a standard size and includes plenty of pages to plan the entire school year. I will most likely order again for the next school year.

I use these all the time and particularly like that it is hard cover and has the bookmark feature. Great quality, sturdy, and great for organisation.

This planner gets the job done as far as having ample space to write in my many different lessons per day. I was a little disappointed by the quality of the pages. Some pages are not cut well as if the pages are cut by a machine with dull blades. Almost none of the pages fit inside the binding, they all stick out. More strange is that half of the pages are significantly wider than the other half. Specifically the weekly planner half. The record book back half doesn't stick out as much. Additionally, mine came with this weird brown gunk on the front and back. I don't know what they were stored next to at the plant, but it stained white parts and flowers and really bummed me out for a brand new planner. Overall, it's still a very sturdy planner with a gorgeous design that fits my classroom theme for next year and page layouts that fit my needs.

I loved using this grade book. The classy wood grain color made me actually enjoy opening it up and working! I have to post my grades on the computer, but having them written allowed me to have quick access to them during class, grading outside on a sunny day, or any other time going to the website wasn't convenient. The size and weight were fine, and the dates are blank, so teachers can fill them in as needed. One negative: perforations on the names lists tore too easily, so I had to tape them up. The planning portion of the book was exactly what I wanted, as well. Having both in the same book made things a little easier. Having some sort of system of clips to mark pages would be useful: paper clips regularly fell off. Overall an excellent tool for teachers.

Have used this style for several years. Holds up well for the entire year and being carried home shoved in my backpack. Love the space to side to make notes. Great for simple lesson plans in period squares but if you have to do in-depth planning might not work for you.

Great planner! ELAN planners are the only ones I use.

This is the perfect planner for secondary teachers who teach multiple classes. The others are set up for elementary teachers with up to 36 students, but this one is set up to include all 75 of my students. Plus it has plenty of room to write detailed plans for each class. It's pretty, it's happy, it's sturdy, and it's wallet friendly.
