Great for glaciers
Tl;dr if you are actually going to use these where they were designed to be used, buy them. If you want them for style only, read my dislikes. Like: exactly as described. Super dark. Great for snow glare. Side light blocking works as intended. Looks fantastic. Huge attention grabber and icebreaker in Starbucks haha. They fit fine and I have a wide head. The ear loops work well when you're running/jumping about. Dislike: every day wear is not too great if you keep the leather on. Does not fit while wearing a full faced helmet. I would never wear these while driving with the side shades on due to restricted vision. Also, walking down the sidewalk I have to take extra time to look for traffic because of this restricted vision. Also, walking around Los Angeles at sunset I can't see if anybody is approaching from the sides. Lessens awareness overall. Did not include a hard case for storage, just a soft sock.

My eyes have never been so protected.
I can promise anyone who buys these glacier glasses from Julbo and only Julbo, is that this company goes beyong what most companies do. I have NEVER had any issue with them. They fully guarentee them and have returned glasses after 4 years that had issues do to something crazy that very sledom happens. I wear these things out and have eye doctors tell me they are very protective of the retina. Tye companies response is very fast. I paid good mney to protectmy eyes and you get what you pay for. I do not care what anyone else sells as I know for the last 10 to 15 years, and you can take this to the bank, this company and these glasses were by far the best I have ever had. I used them climbing, sking, hiking and never use them driving at night. They are for extremly high sun areas. I can look at the sun directly and not have to turn my head. I would not suggest doing this butI needed to see how much they protected. I love them and Julbo and would never go anywhere else. If it is not broke, no need to fixit. I highly recommend these glasses and Julbo. No I do not own stock or wotrk for them. If you care about your eyes, use these glasses. The gal who answers the phone is extremly helpful and just plain good at what she knows and does. My eye doctor told the girls at the appointment not togh at the side blinders as it protects the retina as this is the place where most damage takes place.I also do not claim to be an english major at spelling.

Now these are Sun glasses 😎
These are my first Julbo glasses. I'm a fan of this brand now. Superior lenses IMO. I can't use my other sunglasses now because they just don't filter that brightness as well as these. I will say the case I got was not the best design for these I think that these sunglasses deserve a better case. Not in material but in design. I bought a trifold case and seems they are better guarded there. Highly recommend them.

So far, so good
A little smaller than my old glasses that they discontinued but I will still wear them!

Crystal clear, excellent vision, sturdy, old school retro cool.
Okay, I wear a 7 3/8 hat so the temples were tight, I've bent them out a bit and it's better. The ends of the temples where they wrap about the ear dig in at the end, so I bent them back a little and they're more comfortable now. The ones I had back in the early 80s before "steam punk" was a thing were gradient top and bottom to middle, meaning basically as dark as these are in the middle but darker towards the bright sky, and also towards the bright snow covered ground. Which I never went to, but they were still cool as heck. Unless you have to remove the side blinders, don't. It's a feat to get them and the lens in the exact right place and keep them there while reaching for a screwdriver! It can be done, but do not do it in front of children, nuns, the Pope, or your first grade teacher. 5 stars overall because they're excellent, 4 stars for comfort out of the box, but they are easily adjusted for cranial aberrations (big headed folks), 5 stars for value for the money, and I didn't put any starts for durability because I've only had them a day. But they are well made and sturdy. I think they will be just fine.

The metal arms underneath the "soft rubber" is thin, cheap and WILL BREAK.
For $120 or so, you'd think these would be REALLY nice glasses. They are, but the metal arms underneath the "soft rubber material" is super thin, and easily breakable. They're hidden under the "soft rubber material", but trust me. I could not have been more careful and delicate when handling/wearing these glasses and I'm the one sitting here with a broken pair. $120 down the drain. Once the arm breaks they're completely useless. They do look really cool though. I wish "Julbo" would send me a replacement Right Arm to replace my broken one. That would be great, but they're not going to. Just keep that in mind before spending $120 on a pair of "cool looking glasses"... -

Worth it!
Great glasses. Fit and look awesome. Besides some individuals thinking you are steam punking it, lots of compliments. The only thing I have noticed is a slight partial halo in the lower outside portion of the lens, but only in the shade, completely not there in direct light. I enjoy because my eyes actually relax when in the sun. Downside is when driving, your peripheral vision is not available, you really have to turn your head.

Lenses break out very easily
I wish I could give this a better review since the glasses have exactly the retro look I was looking for. Unfortunately, the quality is very bad. For both my roommate and I the glasses broken within the first couple of times of wearing them. The right lens fell out for the first time while wearing the glasses for maybe the second or third time. It continued to happen a few more times, but I still managed to put them back in each time, which was already annoying enough. Then, during a very cold summit day actually, the lens fell out and with it the little screw on top of the frame. Luckily, I had my goggles in backpack as backup. Wore the glasses a total of max 10 times, yet this happened. Unfortunately I waited for quite a bit before I wore them for the first time, so I can’t give them back anymore. Really a pity, given their great look but also high costs. I really would have loved to use them. If they wouldn’t have broken, I think it would have been worth the money. Please note I kept them in a prospective case at all times, so that is not where it could come from.

Gafas según descripción. Funda mal.

Great clarity
Spektron lens are nice and clear and great for very bright conditions, love the steampunk look and the frames are solid and well made. Everyone who has tried them on loves the look but complains about the rubber tubing digging into their ears at the ends. Have to agree as this is my only dislike.

All day comfort
Had these a few years now - they are my go-to shades for hiking. All day comfort and a really secure fit. I did swap out the Cat 4 lenses for some after market Cat 3s as the originals were a bit on the dark side for UK hiking. Love the steam-punk look, too.
