Excellent Quality!
Great quality, especially for the price. Well-designed for heat dissipation. Works well for its intended purpose.

Used on speed controller
I have a speed controller with 16 MOSFETs that I use for a trolling motor that pulls 55A. This heatsink combined with a fan keeps the mosfets at 28C, which is perfect. I was able to easily cut it to size with an oscillating multitool.

Hard Drive TeraByte Sandwich
Worked great for cooling external USB 3.x hard drives during large multi-hour, multi TeraByte, data transfers. When backing up many TeraBytes, it can take half a day or more per drive - sometimes as much as 24 hours. This is because without cooling, many/most drives back off on their data rates as the internal temperature goes up: self preservation. With no cooling at all they were getting very warm and the transfer rates would go down from over 100 MBytes/sec to less than 10 MBytes/sec when the drives got hot. We sandwiched the drives (variously 4 TB and 5 TB) between pairs of these heatsinks back to back using large plastic spring clips. Even just on their edge & convection cooling it worked well. With a small fan they barely get warm. Sustained high data transfer rates were achieved with LaCie (the most temperature sensitive), Seagate, and Western Digital.

Excellent heat dissipation
You have to buy thermal pad to use this heatsink, it definitely bring my 3090 card temp down. Machine cut with precision, squarely and flat

Excellent for placing on top of hot computer objects
I wouldn’t exactly call these large, but they get the job done. I placed one on top of a docking station that didn’t have the best heat dissipation. I know this after an hour or two that the docking station was lower in heat, which made it less vulnerable for overheating and malfunctioning. I placed another on top of a external hard drive. Because the drive is made from plastic, I have yet to know the difference, though I’m sure the aluminum is absorbing something. I like how they’re slim and they can be combined together if needed.

uneven
For the price I expected to have a peice of aluminum that wasn't scuffed up. I tried to sand it down gently and it appears that the underside is also extremely unleveled. I will be smoothing it out myself to make it 100% flat so it transfers heat efficiency. Im sure once i level out the surface it will work great but if you dont have the tools or skills to make it extremely flat i don't recommend this unless you use something to fill in those air gaps. I will be using this for a 1080ti graphics card backplate so having perfect contact is important.

Takes the heat!
Mainly for junction memory heating concerns, altho it reduced the gpu overall heat by a few Celsius on my RTX 3090 Tuf. I used thermal paste and a fan sitting and blowing directly on top of it. With that setup, it reduced my junction memory temp by 14c and gpu temp by 4c. Also, this gpu sat right on top of another RTX 3090 Tuf, and it managed to bring down the vram temp to the same if not cooler than the bottom gpu. Cool little heat sink! Some people are saying it isnt flat, but test it on a flat surface first. I noticed that the metal backplate of my gpu isn't truly flat. But the heatsink I got was definitely flat. It did come with slight cosmetic imperfection, but it wasn't a huge deal tbh. You won't notice it if you orient it away from your sight.

Perfect for my 3090 FTW3. Brought temps under control
Mining doesn't throttle hard anymore. Prior to this, I'd get 106-110C mem junction temps, at a 200 underclock with 100% fan Now, can bring the ram to +1350 and temps are under control at 100-104C with only 50-70% fans. Used thermal pads to even the gaps out, and rested a 120mm on the back. Temps and fan noise are much better. Packaging was sturdy, wrapped in foam and in a box.

I used this on the back of my 6800XT which has memory chips on the back of the card cooled by the backplate which is also in contact with the GPU chip, I wanted to see if this heatsink would reduce reduce the temperatures enabling me to run the card cooler and quieter. The net result was that when used with a 1mm self adhesive heatpad and 92mm fan blowing air over the heatsink the gpu hotspot temperature dropped by 14c !! It is important to note that I had previously dismantled that card, repasted the GPU and replaced the existing heatpads on the front and back of the card to ensure that the relevant components would benefit. The heatsink is held in place with 3 zip ties which don't add much pressure but are there to keep it in place in case it gets knocked, I applied pressure to the heatsink / card when fitting and so the self adhesive thermal pad is conducting the heat. The heatsink is fairly heavy so I would advise using a GPU brace I have the Asus ROG Herculx as per the photo.

I bought this heat sink as a heat sink for a MeLe Quieter 3Q fanless mini-PC. I love the little PC and I trust MeLe will keep up the good work. It is reviewed elsewhere. However, I thought it prudent to add a loose-lying heatsink on top of the "cigarette box" -sized PC, because the room it is used in regularly goes into the 28-to-30C temperature range, despite this being in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I make sure the PC itself is placed on the (cold) metal base of the double-monitor stand and the heat sink lives on top of the PC. So the bottom of the PC is cooled by conduction and the top is cooled by heat conduction to the heat sink and heat radiation from the heat sink. It seems to work. We've never seen any indication of "throttling" of the PC by overheating. then again, it may well have happened in such fashion that we did not notice. Either way, we're happy with the solution. And, no, no thermal " grease or cement" has been used. It functions purely by gravity-contact with the PC.
