Booyah Boo Jig Bass Fishing Lure with Weed Guard

My son loves to fish and he claims that this lure is a great one.

Snag on something under water within the first three casts and lost it. Might be a weedless lure, but it will sure snag on stuff on the bottom.

The colors of black and blue are tearing them up here. I put on a googan krik craw purple and pumpkin. Nice set up

Smaller profile but good with Shad color trailers.

Ya get what ya pay for. The other brand I bought was good quality at $7.99 I think this lure was $2.79 the lowest I've seen being sold. The weed guard only has a few bristles thus snags on everything in the water. It just doesnt deflect anything from the hook. The other brands you can pull the jig right over trees in water and its fine. Would be 2 star but for price 3 is good. Perfect I suppose if you are in open clear water and there is nothing to snag on. Upside is bass bite and it hooks easier but better buy lots ya lose them in weeds/fallen trees. I only bought one so maybe was fluke. Then again must be known issue due to such low price. Shame cause I really wanted to try the other colors available.

This is truely weedless. I tried it out in a little 2 acre pond that is riddled with cattails. I haven't caught anything yet but it reels on in no problem. Just rolls over anything in that water. It's got good amount of weight too.

So, I just took up bass fishing again upon retiring and had to refresh my entire rigs and tackle. I've never been much on jig fishing but after Roland Martin showed me how to jig the pads and mats, I couldn't wait to try it. Here in Texas, the sun is intense and bass need to find cover during the day. I mean, they don't have eyelids so it's not like they can shut out the light when they need to.Rigged with a Beaver Creature trailer or color coordinated craw, I absolutely slayed them this year on this lure. The weed guard is much, much more functional than any other jig I tried this year and I did not lose this jig once, nor did it get hung up, except when I might have had to rip it through the grass.It swims nicely on a decent medium, fast rod, but I got better response from a medium heavy.Check out Roland Martin's videos on jiggin' for the big-uns' then get after it. This lure changed my whole perspective on bass fishing.
