Yes, it comes with instructions. Numbers 1-5 on the dice relate to which of the five boxes of puzzles to play..The player who rolls a six chooses the deck to play.

What age is this suitable for please?

I am afraid I don't know the answer - I bought it as a stocking present for my senior registrar (doctor) son-in-law, so I hope it is a game that suits adults as well as children!
