Five Stars ! High Performance, Comfortable, Sustainable , Looks Great, Price is right!
The Climb X Rave was put to the test in a High Alpine Desert environment . I find this brand of shoe , the X Rave, in particular to be one of the most practical tools in climbing features of Sandstone Slab, Towers and Crack. While wearing the shoe, conditions often varied from chossy to sandy and chossy ( poor or degrading features of rock) .This shoe was given a 5 out of 5 Star review . The Climb X Rave went well beyond my expectations . This product has earned a climber's trust! Features of the Climb X Rave Strap climbing shoe include :- Velcro strapping, optimizing the fit of the shoe-Double heel loop strap, optimizing functional usage and baggage .-Layered instep padding ( greater fit accuracy and comfort)-Soft side paneling ,a breathable material that feels lovely against the skin. -The internal sole of the shoe is made 100% of hemp. This is a GAME CHANGER! The shoe does not retain bodily scents , sweat, or excessive heat. I decreased my sweaty foot smell and lowered my impact on the environment all at once! While wearing this shoe I climbed mainly Sandstone Slab and sand stone crack and Multipitch. The positive arch support, despite having a wide foot helped provide and assist when edging and smearing. I suffered no loss of stitching . Well mounted rubber round the entirety of the shoe significantly slowed degradation of rubber.Thoughtful placement of heel material, provides soft contact to the back of the heel in the Achilles tendon. The fabric of this shoe , helped preserve the overall health of my foot as well as provide exceptional comfort. I noticed this to be a real asset in my ability to work odd movements for off width cracks with greater comfort as well as locking in on the ankle during more technical boulder problems. I highly recommend this shoe for a range of climbers. Indoor gym climbers, particularly beginners will find the X Rave to be as comfortable and aggressive as needed for day to day sessions. I recommend this style of shoe as a responsible choice for commercial property owners as the hemp insole provides more sustainable and healthier use of industry products as well as provides a level of comfort to all new or youth member participants. This shoe is also excellent for the multi-pitcher that needs a more comfortable yet reliable option. The price point on the shoe seals the deal! I’ve certainly extended myself further for shoes that do not compare with the overall performance and comfort, not to mention bold style of the X Rave. I plan to loyally purchase from this company!

Great shoe
Very comfortable shoes! I had trouble figuring out my size because they’re labelled as narrow and I had to keep returning them because I was thinking they’d be too tight but finally got the perfect fit. Opinions were all over the place on how to figure out sizing so here’s my fit.I am a women’s size 10 in a dress shoe because of my wide foot, but a 9 in sneakers and any boot. (Don’t know why, but that’s what it is.) For this climbing shoe, the 9.5 fit me perfectly. I don’t like it ultra tight because I’m not bouldering; it doesn’t need to be as tight. My toe touches the front of the shoe comfortably and they’re snug enough for climbing. There’s a little space under my heel but I find this a lot when I have to purchase men’s sizes, there seems to be no getting around it. And because of this the back of the shoe is pretty tall but made cushy so they’re very comfortable. My 5.10 MoccAsyms were the same exact fit and also had the high back but their back was so stiff that I was getting blisters by the end of the day.If you have a foot like mine but like the super tight, toes-almost-curling, a ‘take them off as soon as you’re off the wall’ fit, then try a 9.

Sizing is Women’s
I have the climbx laced version in purple Women’s narrow 11.5. So I purchased These velcro in 11.5 as well. Sadly they are about a size too small leading me to think this is actually Women’s sizing. I read reviews and faqs, and they said the sizing is Men’s. I hate wasting shipping stuff back and forth, but these will have to go back.

Really happy with the fit
I’m a female that normally wears a women’s size 9, but decided to buy the men’s version of this shoe because I like that it came with Velcro straps rather than the laces. I ordered a size 7.5 and the fit is perfect. My toes are right up to the front which is how climbing shoes are supposed to fit. I also have really wide feet but the width of these shoes are a comfortable fit. Highly recommend these shoes, they are a great affordable option.

Good for a beginner read review
Good beginning shoe. Don't expect to get more than 6 months out of them. I bought 2 pairs and both had what looked like dry rot to the rubber. They just started cracking out everywhere. Good shoe if your just learning to climb and your not sure if you'll really keep doing it or not. If your sure though pay the extra $ and get a good pair of shoes that can be re soled when the time comes.

Big, but good for the price.
This is a great beginner to intermediate shoe. Semi soft rubber with a flat sole (not aggressive) is perfect for just starting out. At this price ($40) you'll save money skipping the renting shoes phase AFTER your first time. They will last you until you are ready to upgrade too. Personally, I got these as to not scuff up my nicer shoes, and I find that they are much more comfortable, and I only switch shoes when I full send. I can't suggest enough to have something cheaper like this at the start of climbing and even later if you don't want to spend a bunch to resole your shoes.Different colors and can get lace vs velcro, but this was the cheapest variant. Real leather upper molds and stretches to the foot okay as long as the shoe is appropriately tight, but a friend had a similar pair that dyed their foot.Only issue is the sizing, if you buy your regular size it will fit like a regular shoe (too loose for climbing). Friend and I got reasonably comfortable fits after moving down a whole size and a half with this brand. If you wear a 10.5 regularly, buy a 9. If you want to feel how tight a climbing shoe should be, try your regular size in a black diamond brand climbing shoe or talk to someone from a local shop.

Surprisingly good
Fit my feet perfectly, nice and sticky. Used for just a few weeks inside and out. Fingers crossed they’ll last and at about a third the price of chillies I’m well chuffed.
