Does the screen always stay on while in use or can it be blank

Yes my 622GW 's screen turns off after a short while, only turning back on if there is a bump in the road! If you are concerned about distraction ,I find the screen where it is placed under the rear view mirror and as close to the mirror base prevents this.

Question 2

How do I get this 622g to play back 4k footage on my dell desktop 64 with nextbase player?   And should I have received a suction mount.

I always take the Micro SD card out, insert it into a SD adaptor and slot it into the card treader slot. If your computer does not have a card reader slot then you need to use an external card reader that plugs into one of the USB ports.
The NexrBase Player should detect the Micro SD card.
YES you should have received a suction mount.

Question 3

Does the rear camera module that goes in the rear screen need access to a 2nd 12v socket to power? Or does the wire just run from the the front 12v?

You only need to use one lighter socket to run the main camera unit & the extra rear camera of choice plugs into the main cameras windscreen cradle..

Can you download video from the 622 with WiFi to your phone ?

I have the 522gw with attached rear view camera and yes as long as you have either the power on via the ignition or any usb power source. You should upload your journey to the Nextbase cloud. You can also do this out of your car by simply connecting the dashcam to your laptop or powering the device with a usb cable and then connecting via a smartphone/laptop etc. You will see reviews saying that the device freezes or needs formatting etc 99% of these problems will be resolved by using the correct micro memory card ie one directly from Nextbase I had the freeze/file corruption errors on multiple (dashcam suitable card’s until I got the nextbase brand card directly from the manufacturer website since then No more issues, love the quality and you would not see the maker in virtually all the dashcam accident pages on youtube etc as Nextbase if they were not a superb product
