ALTRA Men's AL0A4PEA Provision 4 Road Running Shoe

By far the best comfortable shoes i’ve owned. and trust me i’ve owned way too many.its has great arch support due to flexibility ties attached to shoe laces on inner side of the feet. great cushioned sole and very soft front upper.looks at the photos. photos might not be doing justice to the quality of this shoe.size fit——due to its contour design its very important to buy the right size. otherwise you’ll not be comfortable.lengthin sport shoes i move between 8 and 8.5 D (M) based upon brands. ill highly recommend to go on the higher size.i bought 8.5 in this and it fits perfectly few centimeters gap for all my toes to move.widthi won’t say they’re slim. but they’re made for true fit. if you never wear (D) sometimes abbreviated as (M) then get a wide in this one too.finally i highly recommend this to everyone interested in running.

Good concept over all but needs tweaking.Cons:• Sole of shoe is too hard minimizing any benefit from having a thicker lower with extra cushioning.• Tongue does not have a loop to thread laces through which causes it to slide sideways.• Lacing shoes firmly enough in order to prevent forward foot slip is difficult since doing so yanks too much on the integrated arch support beyond what is required causing pain/pressure on foot top from laces.Pros:• As with all Altras the wide toe box offers the foot splay us die hard wearers have come to love.• Tongue does have thicker padding which I would like all Altras to use but it isn’t sufficient enough to remedy the above “con”.• Good color combination.Despite shortcomings, I will continue to wear these but only for shorter runs and return to wearing my favorite Altra model: the Torin for longer distances. I may attempt to punch additional eyelets in upper to bypass the arch support.

I hate that the tongue slides and there is NO factory hole to lace it up so that it doesn’t happen. I had to take my razor blade and cut a tiny slit inside the tongue to route the laces through. I gave it four stars because the shoes are still comfy and I can wear them all day with no pain. This is my 8,910 ( I dunno) pair of Altras and I love them.

I love Altras in general! I am a women’s size 9.5 and bought these in a men’s size 8- they fit great! There is cushioning not only in the sole- but all around the foot- They literally hug the foot in the best way. Of course, these shoes are not super responsive due to the high cushioning - not exactly for sprinting or short races- but if you are a distance runner or are battling injury these are a must!As another reviewer mentioned, they don’t ship in the box. I assume this is for less bulky / less expensive shipping… they are genuine altras though!

Good shoe but it fits a little tight on the sides. Also the way the shoe laces wrap your foot well but with wide feet it feels to tight. I have to undo the shoe laces and re do them and extend the size to fit a wider foot.

This is a very comfortable shoe. I normally wear a 13 and that's what I ordered. The length is perfect but the width is just a tad bit snug. I have extremely flat feet so it is very difficult to get shoes that are comfortable anyway. The snug fit isn't intolerable and I wear the shoes. All in all a good purchase.

The laces laces on the outer side of the shoes is not connected to the sneaker, like normal. It has a tab that connects down low. Comfortable but unfortunatly causes a large gap between the lace and the "outer portion of the sneaker. I feel that it will fill with debris when trail runninf.

Initially very impressed, solid comfortable shoes that seemed to be helping. However, I have done a maximum of 30miles and the sole is already fading on the heels. Now this is something that will happen but at this rate these shows won’t see out 100 miles, which for the cost is poor

I just removed the insole as I like a more bare foot feel and they are perfect

These shoes are both practical and comfortable. No issues adjusting to them. Have set PBs in these and would buy again. Only downside is they don't look as good as other running shoes.

Excellent shoe, my break in walk turned into an 8 mile run they were so comfortable, felt like l'd done three by the end, good cushioning, bounce back feel made the run easy, feet weren't compressed as I normal trainers, now l need another pair for hill running.
