MET-Rx Big 100 Protein Bars, Blueberry Cobbler, 30g Protein, 9 Ct

Great deal on a great product. I like every flavor of this product. This one is rather sweet.

These are always my go-to protein bar. I don't like the typical ones on the market that are low or zero sugar, low carb, because they either have a strange amount of fiber or crazy amounts of sugar alcohols that even small bars will give you *bad* stomach problems. For this reason, I also avoid the ones from this brand with sugar alcohols listed on the label. I have a sensitive stomach, so I personally haven't tried those. Based on other reviews, it doesn't seem to bother others much, though. They're not chalky and I can manage the sugar because I don't eat much sugar anymore at all and I count my macros and calories really well so I know how to adjust other foods for the day. They have a great taste and texture, and I've enjoyed these protein bars for 15 years now.

Bought this a month ago by searching for the cheapest met-rx bar offered, since the vanilla caramel has shot up to $37.95. These are surprisingly good, as someone who does not like the chocolate flavors. The reviews are bad because they seem to have mis-shipped the package, but I got all 9. Aug 24th it was $21.77, now Sept 17th its already $23.36.

Decent taste and filling; I take them on bike trips. BUT... I ordered three boxes of nine each, but received three boxes of four each, and now see I'm not the only one with this issue.

I bought a bunch while it was on sale and I'm glad I did. May these continue to go on sale so that I may continue buying them. Lol. It's kinda like a fruit bar layered with blueberry jam which is right up my alley. These are 400kcal though and it's meant to be a meal replacement so keep that in mind before you go off eating it as a snack between meals and then later wondering why your pants feel tighter. I'm inconsistent with eating breakfast so these are perfect for those lazy days I don't feel like making anything.

Met-Rx has been a staple in the sports nutrition industry for decades, so I was excited to see their Blueberry Cobbler Meal Replacement bars selling for $20 for 9 bars. The good: The exemplary reputation of Met-Rx products, to my knowledge, has never been questioned. The bars can truly be used for meal replacement (at 400 calories each bar is 1/5 of a 2000 calorie daily diet and the bars contain numerous vitamins and minerals. The 30 grams of protein comes from a blend of soy, milk, whey, and casein. The bars also provide a fair amount of energy. I have been eating a bar everyday about 1pm and I feel full and energized until 6pm dinner. The not so good: Although the bars don't taste bad, they have a somewhat unnaturally sweet taste probably because of the 22 grams of added sugars. The blueberry flavor also comes from apple paste mixed with blueberry paste rather than actual blueberry. The bottom line: These bars provide great nutrition at a great price while providing less than heavenly taste.

Filling breakfast bar stay full all day.
