Trend Micro Maximum Security 10 (3-Users) [Old Version]

My Trend Micro (TM) 5-device license was about to expire and I only needed to protect 3 devices, so I bought this product. I found the update process quite buggy. When I installed the new code on the first Windows machine, the installer said it would uninstall the old version of TM, which it did OK, then installed new version. When I was prompted for the serial number, I found that when I started entering the numbers, the first keystroke in each serial number cell was ignored. Once I caught onto that, I was able to activate the product.When I downloaded and installed the TM software on a second Windows 10 device, the installer would not recognize the serial number. I had to go back tot he first machine, add another device, go to the second device, open an email and click the download link, then re-install TM. The process temporarily stalled and threw an error message when Windows 10 decided to its own update in the middle of the TM install (sheesh), but the installation eventually finished. This time the install recognized the serial number with no ignored characters.To install TM on an Android device, I had to first manually uninstall the existing app, then reinstall from the Google Play Store. There were 2 false starts on this, as Android somehow thought TM was still installed. Eventually, this install succeeded.TM makes it easy to renew an existing installation, but if you want to change the TM product you're installing, it's a real hassle. It's a good thing TM performs so well as security software, because their install software needs work.

Been using Trend for years and will continue to do so. Least evasive security that catches everything all the other ones cannot. I wanted to also share that if you are a current trend user, wait for the last day of your current subscription's expiration and then right click your Trend icon in your running task bar, select check subscription, and change your key. The new serial key will be accepted negating the old key and you will have your new year of security instead of doing a download.

I have been a Trend Micro user for many years. Typically I have no problems when it comes to renewal time other than the fact that Trend doesn't really honor customer loyalty and the renewal price they offer is 25-30% higher than what one finds online. This year the vendor did not provide a CD, which was a first. Loading the software with a product key was much more difficult and the operation had to be performed a second time the following day as the program was not functioning. I later learned that this was considered a "second machine" and prevented my son from later loading it to one of his two machines, so my 3 user purchase was only 2/3 effective. I don't think I will go with Trend again in any form next time around.

I bought this version because I wanted the physical disk. I got an empty box with a link to download the latest copy. I could have done that immediately if that is what I wanted to do and not have to wait for the empty box to get here. I will not be purchasing this again.

Works well. After several phone calls. It works perfectly. Trend Micro is the best internet security in the market IMHO. Tried them all. Least invasive and has kept viruses for years.

This is a download from Trend Micro and installed on 3 computers with no problems at all. I waited until the day after the old subscription expired, removed the old version form the computers, and installed the new one. I have used Trend Micro for years and am happy with it.

When I get a new computer with a security program installed I use it for the first year then go back to Trend Micro. after years of use it works as advertised don't use a lot of computer resources and easy to install.
