Excellent small battery keeper.
Well made. Works well. The leads could be a couple of feet longer.

Great for charging SLA batteries.
Great charger for SLA batteries used for portable fish finder. Green light turns on when plugged in, turns red during charging, then green again when charging is Complete. Clamps could be sturdier and charge wires longer, but it's a nice charger for the price. I hpe it lasts a long time.

Works
Works for recharging my Frontier backup battery. Takes a half a day for a full recharge, but it works.

Great unit for the money! Little Dangerous....
Great little charger! I use it on my car. I do not drive much in winter and the battery gets low. Does it die entirely but does not have enough charge to start my car. I use this charger for a max of 1hr, usually ~10-20 minutes. It charges enough to start my car. I would NOT attempt starting with it connected. I just connect, let it trickle charge, remove, and then start the car. I have not used it for longer than 1hr and in that time it did not get hot at all. Barely even warm to the touch. The connectors are pretty flimsy, thin metal. There is no on/off switch. As soon as it is connected to a battery or the wall its powered up. I connect to battery first, then wall. I unplug from wall before removing from battery. Or clip onto plastic and do one terminal at a time. The unit is pretty dangerous given the lack of on/off. As long as you pay attention, it should not be a problem. Just be aware of that one downfall.

I think at best it would take a very long time to charge ...
I've charged/maintained a 660 CCA standard wet-cell lead-acid vehicle battery and a Cabela's 55 Ah AGM group 22 marine battery and a group 27 lead-acid marine battery. All were at about 80% state of charge (12.5 volts) when I connected this charger. All fully charged overnight. The voltage with the charger connected to the fully charged battery (charger LED went from red to green) was 13.05 volts. While charging my volt meter showed a high of 14.8 volts. And when left connected to the batteries the charger LED cycled from red to green to red several times. Indicating I presume changing from float to absorb and back.Seems to me this is a good-cheap charger for lightly discharged batteries and also maintaining batteries long term. I'm using mine to maintain the battery in a vehicle a rarely drive and to maintain my AGM marine battery. I'm not going to use this charger to charge batteries down to 50% state of charge, I think at best it would take a very long time to charge them.I'm ordering a second one of these today.

Works perfectly
I use this to charge a 12v, 7Ah sealed lead acid battery. It works very well. The cord is 36 inches from the clamps to the base of the plug. Plenty long enough benchtop use. The clamps open to about 7/8 inch.Clamps are a bit 'light-duty' feeling, but I've had no problems keeping them attached to the battery.Easy to use - Connect the black clamp to the black battery termal, and the red clamp to the red battery terminal. The LED on the charger turns red while charging and turns green when finished.

They work fine, until the leads touch for a split second
It charges just fine... the way the wires have been cramped in their box, the leads want to touch... and that's just what happened. They touched for a brief second, and now the charger is DEAD. If you get this, BE VERY CAREFUL not to let the leads touch for a milisecond!!
