Worth the money.
I've been using the same keffiyeh weekly for over ten years and while it's still relatively in one piece, I figured it'd be safer to get a new one before it completely falls apart. My search has been fraught with cheaply made novelty keffiyeh and I almost gave up until I found this one.The size is generous, perfect for whatever configuration you prefer. The fabric weave is thin but not flimsy, stretchy or too smooth. It folds over on itself well, stays put and breathes. I wasn't crazy about the sewn on tassels in the product pictures but it's a much better idea than woven tassels which were the weak point of my old keffiyeh where tears eventually appeared. There were minor cosmetic defects in the embroidery on mine but nothing egregious. The seller seems very attentive and I'm sure if I wanted to I could exchange it but I can live with it.I passed on the black-on-black version because it looked very shiny so I ended up getting the safad version. I was worried it'd be a little too Lisa Frank-y but the wrong side of the scarf is quite muted and I can strategically fold the right side to align with whichever colour might complement my outfit the most. The way the colours are grouped on the scarf is quite versatile and it's like having multiple scarves in one. While this keffiyeh isn't as cute as my old one, it feels more sturdy and useful overall and I can't imagine it falling apart any time soon.

Good for Backpacking
It's pretty great. Large, comfortable, and breathable. This light, well woven fabric has a multitude of uses. As a guy who gets a sunburned neck and ears pretty often, having some solid sun protection hiking is pretty fantastic. It also helps keep dust and sand out of your face. It's thin enough to see through as well if you need some more encompassing eye protection if sand really gets kicked up. It can be used as a preliminary water filter, a sling, a belt, a makeshift sack, and much more. I was slightly concerned when I opened it at first because I saw what looked like loose threads, but it turns out they weren't actually part of the shemagh, just some bits of thread from the factory that i brushed off. I'd recommend handwashing it and letting it air dry once you get it, as this will help soften it a bit. Also, if you find it still a bit abrasive on your face, turn it so that the embroidering thread is on the outside of your face wrap, it's much smoother if you have sensitive skin like I do. When i washed it, one of the tassels got a little loose and I reknotted it. Doesn't look quite the same, but they're mostly decoration and I've always been more of a function over form person. Believe me, this has a lot of functions. This is going in my backpacking kit for sure!

Was looking for a winter hat and happily found this!
My winter has been much colder than usual, so I was looking for a cold weather hat with a drape to go across my lower face so I wouldn't have to breathe in nearly ice-cold air when I go for my daily walk.In my browsing of trappers and balaclavas, I saw a low-priced keffiyeh and then found this scarf on an "What Other Items Do Customers Buy" list. I was intrigued enough by the reviews to purchase this.I'm glad that I did - the keffiyeh is attractive and I can tell there is excellent workmanship & materials in its making! I've worn this outdoors daily for nearly a week and it has kept my head comfortable on each of these chilly / foggy days. Drawing a corner of the scarf loosely across my nose and mouth lets me breathe much easier in my walks.I wear hats - I have dozens of various hats and caps. For me, this keffiyeh is better than another hat for my walks, since I can wear it as I like. I tried several of the 'how to wear' instructions that I've found on various websites, but I've developed my own pattern that has me wrap my head and neck to suit me... and leaves me a corner that I can use over my face if I choose, or tucked into one of the other wraps. The scarf is sized very generously so I had lots of options to play with before I found my style. It's not been through a wash yet, so my final opinion could change, but it feels (and smells) well, so that I am confident that I will purchase other designs/colors when the season changes.

Gorgeous!
It's beautiful and so colorful. Very happy to wear in honor of the Palestinian people. Very comfortable and durable. If there are any strings, just cut them carefully.

Super Schal.
