Warm and well made
I recently purchased the FREE SOLDIER Men's Fleece Lined Outdoor Cargo Hiking Pants for a 2-week trip to Europe during the winter and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. These pants are incredibly comfortable, warm, and weather-resistant. One of the standout features of these pants is the zippered pockets, which are large enough to hold a cell phone or large wallet. The fleece lining is very warm and the pants are resistant to dirt and spills, making them easy to clean. I wore these pants about half the time I was on my trip and they were great for walking around in 40-degree F weather and even rain. I was easily able to wipe dirt or spills off them. The zippered pockets also help deter pickpocketers! The only downside is that wearing these pants while walking around shops or museums that are well heated can be a little uncomfortable as they are designed to keep you warm and they don't breathe very well. This is probably more of a me problem as they were probably not designed to be worn in a department store for several hours. Overall, I would highly recommend these pants for outdoor colder weather (they might even be good for warmer weather skiing/snowboarding). I don't know how well they would work for sub-freezing temperatures, but for walking around outdoors or in an outdoor urban environment, they are perfect.

Awesome hiking pants that are worth more than the price!!
These are a nice pair of hiking pants for those who want to use and abuse their pants in the wild. Not only are they a nice mix of stylish/affordable/quality, but they are also waterproof and durable. I wore them fishing and hiking and love them. See the different review categories below: Zippers: These pants have a solid, durable zipper that you can tug on and not feel like it is going to bind or rip. The zippers feel like they are made of quality material and you can really wrench on them to get them to close if you are in a bind and need to open your pocket to get a pair of pliers out while holding a fish in your other hand or close them up to keep something from falling out. No worries here. Material: The material feels like a softer neoprene to the touch. They are definitely waterproof and could even be coated for more reassurance. They don't seem like they would rip easily but might wear down with enough kneeling and scraping. They are affordable pants though, which warrants the material they are made of. What would you expect out of a pair of hiking pants, they can't be the best of all worlds. Fit: They are true to size and might feel a bit big when you get them, I thought the same thing. After wearing them in the cold I realized that they fit exactly like I would want them to, a touch bulky with enought room to move around in while also providing enough room for movability and enough material for warmth. They are exactly what I want them to be. Inner Material: The inner fleece feels nice on the skin. It isn't irritataing and glides while still maintaining warmth. Breathability: These pants BREATHE!!!!! Enough said. I wore them for 5 hours straight while fishing out in 59F weather and then feel asleep on the couch in them after coming home for a couple hours and didn't break a sweat once nor was I cold. They have more than enough airflow. I would recommend these pants through and through. Look: I mean......come on.......these look really cool.

Warm, comfortable pants (See comments)
They do exactly what they say. Wore them ground hunting in the UP (Michigan) in late November and was very pleased with them overall. I have a couple of comments, though: (1) They're not completely quiet if you are hunting. Not noisy per se, but have a little 'squeak' to them from the softshell outer. (2) They stain pretty easily. I have the Kahki/sand color - perhaps darker is better) Again, I'm sitting in the dirt, so i dont particularly care, but they came back after the first day with a couple of stains that wouldn't come out (3) Crotch sweat. Compared to a pair of flannel-lined cotton pants, these things were like a sauna. Again, that shouldn't be unexpected, but just keep it in mind and wear something wicking underneath if you're moving around a lot. I fish in the Northeast into October and November and can't wait to see how they work on the ocean. Again, these are minor things, but thought they were worth mentioning.

Winter backpacking pants
I use these for backcountry hiking/backpacking. They are warm, dry, and wind resistant. They hold up to rugged activity including bushwhacking over several outings they are durable as advertised. The fit is true to size, color is accurate, weight is what you would expect. I have worn these down to 8ยฐF without any additional layers and stayed warm. I do have the impression that they are water resistant as advertised but I have not really tested them in this way yet except around the ankles crossing through shallow creeks they didn't seem to wet out there. Very satisfied and would recommend them. The belt that comes with them is fine but there is no stretch to it. I prefer a more elastic type belt with some give that is more comfortable especially under the hip belt of a backpack, so I don't use the belt that was included. Would definitely recommend and buy again!

Fantastic pair of fleece lined hiking pants
I originally bought these in my actual size and although they fit, they were snug. I wanted to be able to layer more with them so I returned them and got two sizes bigger and they were absolutely perfect for my hiking/winter camping needs. I am 6ft tall and 234 lbs and the 42W/32L were perfect for me since I like my pants a bit baggy with enough room for layers and maneuverability. The material is soft, yet durable. Not cheap by any means. The stitching was great and the product arrived within several days without defect. The pants are comfortable, stretchy, and most of all...warm. One thing I would say is that with my first order, I got a black, nylon belt with the pants. When I returned those pants and got the larger size I did not get a belt with them. However, due to the look, comfort, quality, and durability of the pants I can't justify taking off a star from the rating. It should also be noted that the pants are not advertised with a belt at the time of this review so getting a belt is just some extra icing on the cake. However, I personally work in Quality Assurance and my advice would be to either offer the belt with the pants and advertise it that way, or don't offer them or send them at all. Consistency is a huge part of Quality. Other than that, fantastic pants. If you're on the fence, just buy them. You won't be disappointed.

Long shipping...eh item.
I don't really understand. This is the type of product I normally receive when I order from Temu. It is like 90% polyester. Supposed to be fleece, but it's only a shell. Went out in 28 degree weather with NO wind, and the cold went right through them. Pant legs won't fit over boots, and they are definitely NOT ski pants. My legs would freeze before I got halfway down the mountain. Also I nearly squeek when I have them on...super tight around the crotch. I gave 2 stars because they got the color right at least. Too much of a pain to send back. Oh well, live and learn. Update: well I tried them again. I think it's equivalent to wearing new shoes. Just gotta get used to the item. It's still tig ht around the thighs. But they are warmer than wearing jeans. It's still similar to my soft shell jacket. So I increased my rating because I think I'll just have to wear them more. Hopefully.

Awesome and slim!
I never bought snow pants because I don't like those nylon black, super-wide pants most brands sell. These are different. They fit slim and look great.

comfy and sturdy
I bought three. Just amazing. Been wearing them for years now. Very comfy and very sturdy and very warm. I had to replace the front button in all three.

Awesome pants for Freezing Temperatures
I've used this pants to work inside a freezer and they keep you very very warm. At the point that when you're in a 30F temperature zone, your legs might start sweating. They are water repelent, very comfortable to work and walk around and they look very nice, unlike other heavy snow pants that you can tell from far away are winter pants. This pants look like regular pants, but are really for extreme weather use. I love this pants and always keep a pair in my car in case I need them.
