ErgobabySwaddle Wrap, Original Swaddler, Elephant

We tried Halo Sleep Sack, Swaddle Me, and Ergobaby Swaddle and Ergobaby was the winner for us!In short this worked better for:1. Houdini arms2. Gas pain wake ups3. Wrapping simplicityThe long version:1. We tried basic swaddle blankets; double swaddling, the little arm wrap twist up before tucking the swaddle, stretchy blankets, big blankets... all the swaddle blankets. Baby had her arms unwrapped in less than 20 mins of sleeping.We borrowed a halo swaddle and swaddle me... The swaddle me was the easiest sleep sack to put baby in so if you aren't worried about a jail break check them out! But they are the flimsiest so baby was free in minutes (especially our petite baby who we couldn't get a snug fit for).We likely the halo sleep sack and it bought us longer stretches of time without the arms breaking out so we purchased one of our own. The downside was the gas pain our baby had...2. Poor babe had a dairy intolerance are was horribly gassy from day 2 or 3. She screamed in discomfort and laying flat on her back bundled up only made it harder for her to pass any gas. This is why we love the Ergobaby! instead of being a stiff burrito, she was securely swaddled at her arms, but her hips and legs were free to move around inside the blanket pouch! This seemed to help her ability to work out gas during the night and stay asleep better.3. It's pretty easy to get the hang of the arm swaddle (kind of a tiny, cute straight jacket). Fast to get baby in and out of. The bottom pouch is not detachable like I assumed, so if your baby is hot there is some breathability with it on or baby's legs can come out of the pouch to breath but the pouch would be bunched up underneath baby if not in use. This was the ONLY swaddle my baby couldn't get out of!

My favorite swaddle we tried. My baby was much happier that his arms went in the slots and then wrapped in front of his best instead of the sides. He couldn’t escape either. Also you can leave legs out if your baby gets too long. My only complaint is they don’t make bigger sizes of it. He outgrew it quickly.

we love using this swaddle as our baby escaped every normal blanket we swaddled him in. My only downside is that the velcro seems to be weakening after just a month. A newborn gets A LOT of use out of this and we have to wash it from the spit up, so a better quality velcro would have been nice. But we did buy a second one as we needed one while the other was being washed. great product none the less as our baby sleeps great with it.

I absolutely loved this swaddle. My daughter was breaking out of every swaddle we tried and this was the only thing that would contain her! She can't sleep well when she's not swaddled, but hates the swaddle at the same time. This swaddle was great when she was 1-3 months. She would only wear a onesie underneath. It was super easy to change her without unswaddling her in the middle of the time, and kept her warm at the same time.

I really wanted this to work out for us. My son likes to sleep with his hands across his belly, but he kept busting out of the muslin swaddle blankets and waking himself up. I thought this would be perfect because he couldn't break out of it. Unfortunately, it is waaaaaay too small. He is 2 months old and 24 inches long, and already he is too long for the piece that you velcro between his legs. I tried just keeping that in the open part at the bottom without velcro-ing it, but then he started being able to wiggle his arms out of the upper velcro piece as well. This lasted four nights for us before I switched to the Miracle Blanket.

By far the best swaddled I have used. I have tried 5 other brands. My baby is 8 old. He usually wakes every 2-3 hrs at night. I would occasionally get a 4 hrs maybe 2 or 3 with the other swaddles . My baby sleeps 5-6 hrs straight with this swaddle. If you get correct size it's super easy to use unlike the swaddles that require arms to be straight down. I wish I would have known about this from.wk1.

We own a lot of ergo products. This one wasn't great. We bought it on a fatigue induced wim for our newborn and I wish we had gone with something else. My baby didn't like being in it and quickly learned how to get his arms out of the wrap. The fabric is thick and too hot for summer (baby born in April). The back has a thick seam that seemed uncomfortable under our baby. The print is cute but that's just about the only thing I liked.

I don't know why this works better than other swaddles, but it really is pretty amazing how comfy baby gets after we put him in it. Recommended!

Very effective design. But my baby didn't like it and the way it folds up at the bottom looks kind of odd.
