I bought these 7" shoes for pole-dancing. I would not recommend for a Friday night girls' night unless you want to tempt fate and break your ankle. 7" high is pushing it. The platform is about 3" high, maybe more, so they feel more like wearing a 4" heel. If you are an 8 1/2 I strongly suggest buying a 9. If you are buying these to dance in and you buy the 8, your toes will hang over the edge and you'll lose your polish/possibly stub them whilst dragging your shoes during dance transitions. I dance in these weekly (sliding, smacking, dragging) and the chrome finish on the platform and heel still looks like new. Not a scratch on them after two months!

Very cute shoes! I have owned other pleaser shoes in the past and have always loved them. I wore these to my pole fit class and received tons of compliments! The chrome is very sexy and looks great during performances when the lights catch it!
