I have always seen such plates in my moms house which she uses in prayer. The 2 small cups are to keep turmeric and rice which are used in temple. Rice symbolizes abundance and prosperity and turmeric represents sun which gives life to earth.This piece has a leaf plate on which the 2 cups are placed with a beautiful peacock on side making this look so pretty. Although the design is very nice, the plate is very thin and flimsy and the whole piece is very small so you will need to put it on a bigger plate or tray. Usually on such plates, we also keep some sweets to offer to the deity but this plate is too small to keep anything else.

Was a bit disappointed in this as a couple of the rhinestones were missing from the design and as others have noted, it is pretty flimsy. Bendable. But I do love the design and will keep it anyway.
