Perfect lock!
We purchased a cheaper lock for our tiny house and it has been problematic since day one. We have this lock currently on our front door and on our garage door and it works perfectly. So now I just bought a third one to replace the stupid lock that I bought that is not working well. Overall, this lock works wonderfully, it is very easy to use, and it works every single time! It is very durable in our outside, wet Oregon Coast weather too!! Don’t waste your money on a cheaper version, from now on this is the only lock brand I will use! Highly recommended

Great for homeowner, pet sitter and emergency home repairs.
I have had thisSchlage Camelot Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock for just over a year. It was easy to install and set up multiple codes. Great for pet sitters while you are on vacation or giving the plumber emergency access to repair a pipe. Codes can be changes at anytime using the provided instructions and original code. I thought the battery needed to be changed. when I could not get the keypad to work. After installing a new battery the key pad still did not work. Turns out it wasn’t the battery. One call to tech support helped resolve the issue. The lock needed to be reset (sometimes this happens). Tech support was able to walk me through this in not time. They were pleasant and easy to work with. Highly recommend this Electronic Keypad Deadbolt.Note: you do need the original code that comes with the lock to do this, and to add/ delete additional pin number.

Great reliable lock with long battery life
In the past, I have used Kwikset keypad locks, but I have been won over to the Schlage locks. I like Kwikset's SmarkKey feature, but that's where the love stops. Kwikset uses a motor to engage the bolt. It takes a lot of power from the batteries. Also, sometimes it gets hung up. If you are only pushing a button, you might not notice that the lock failed to push the bolt properly. By contrast, to lock or unlock the Schalge, you manually turn a knob that is engaged by the code. (It spins freely until the code is entered to unlock or until the lock button is pressed to lock.) This means that the real work is done by your hand, not a motor, so the batteries should last longer. It also means that the door is reliably locked every time. It requires barely any extra effort. The main drawback with this scheme is that it wouldn't work with a remote wifi lock. If you want a remote lock, then this is not it.

Lock Design is a Failure
I used Kwikset keyless entry locks for the past 9 years on my previous house. I thought I'd upgrade to a better quality brand but this was a huge mistake. The locking mechanism just spins in the housing (as many others have said) and you can't lock/unlock it from the outside using a key. There are videos to fix this issue but I'm not going to do that on a brand new lock. This was the first and last Schlage product I every buy. Caveat Emptor.

Great lock, even better customer service
Great lock. Unfortunately, after like five months of use, it stopped working for me. However, I reached out to Schlage customer service and they were amazing. They helped me trouble shoot it, and when that didn't work, they sent me a new one and checked in to make sure it was working fine. I haven't had any issues with the new one even after a year, so it was probably some sort of fault with the original one I bought. The lock itself is durable and easy to use, good quality, and looks great on my door. The exemplary customer service is just another reason to recommend this product!

Watch Schlage videos & read instructions
I wanted a basic sturdy keypad lock. The BE365 is hefty and has the highest ANSI rating. I read the instructions, familiarized myself with the package contents and watched several videos before starting installation. Basically it was installed in 30 minutes, granted, all measurements I had were exactly compatible. A couple of IMPORTANT things, the 51/2" measurement between latches is important IF you have an ornate bottom latch plate. I do and the keypad JUST clears. Don't worry if the keypad doesn't fit flush to the door surface when starting the install. the back of the keypad has a couple of raised bosses that dig into the edge of the lock bore when you tighten the baseplate to the keypad. I guess this is to deter strongarm attempts to break in. The included strike and reinforcement plates look nothing like any shown in videos or the instructions. My current strike plate is plenty strong. Programing was straightforward and easy. I had to change 1 of the user codes as it appears on the tag of a car in my drive, what's the odds of that? Deleting the code was also easy. Nothing in the instructions mention how to set vacation/privacy mode, but Google is your friend. There is also no mention of how to use the key to open the lock, the key must be pushed IN hard while twisting to unlock (Google again). I'm writing this review after only 1 day of install. I hope my high marks hold true over time.

Great lock - READ TIPS
Ok, so I actually ended up having to return this one because I actually needed one with a handle... BUT I do have some tips... especially if you live ALONE:- reprogramming it needs the master code and is done from the outside, so be sure to keep that handy, and ONLY to YOURSELF. It cannot be changed. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way.- this lock is very well built, but like all locks - it comes with short screws which can easily be pulled out by someone if they know what they are doing. do yourself a favor and invest in some longer sturdier screws. Also had to learn the hard way.- you can create a few different codes that can all be used to open the door. I suggest that you keep the main code (not the master code) to yourself and give visitors their own so that you can delete it after their stay. Who has the memory to remember a new code after every visitor leaves haha

Easy keypad use, difficult key use.
I do have to say that the learning curve for this lock was a bit higher than what I would like, but once you get the hang of locking and unlocking your door with the keypad, it becomes second nature. Using a physical key itself can be a struggle though. Because the place where you insert the key rotates, sometimes I get confused on how to use it. Not to mention that sometimes taking the key out of the lock is a pain to do so. When using the keypad, it’s great! When using a physical key, not too much.
