Oh is it bright!!!!
Son had to try to dim it some, as it was blinding bright on white, or light pages. Love the size, that was easy to adjust up and down in height, and tilt. We took off the rubber under the feet, so we could turn it easily, as needed for someone else to see what was on screen. Speakers are nice, just do not have a way to turn up or down, except go into settings, which my son who is a computer tech, is having a hard time doing. Speakers not very loud, but really nice. It is a long area full length of monitor where the sound can come out. Finally found where an ear phone can be used. Just got it this last week, so far I am really pleased with it. (81 year mama whose son set things up for me, and helps me.)

Great gaming monitor
I'm so glad I bought this. Native 2560x1440 resolution, and refresh rates up to 144 MHz. I can actually see the difference up to about 80-85 MHz and it's a LOT better than 60 for gaming.

Great for the price
It's got no dead pixels and no issues so far, except for some decent backlight bleed. But for the price of 290 I can't really compare it to my LG, which is over 100 more. For the price I'd absolutely say it's worth it. 5 stars factoring in cost. 5 month later edit: 1 dead pixel, and it's annoying that it doesn't automatically turn off the backlight when the PC sleeps. Still 5 stars for the price.

Excellent monitor with sketchy drivers
I can't complain about the monitor, it's perfect for my needs. I'm not a gamer but I demand a perfectly crisp screen for graphics work. I installed it on a brand new Windows 10 installation and it worked, except for one thing. It stole the sound from my sound system and I was left with a horrible, tinny sound. Like an old Mickey Mouse cartoon. Much worse than my 10 year old laptop. So I downloaded and installed the drivers from their website. That crashed the monitor so I had to find another compatible monitor, uninstall the drivers, reboot, reconnect, reboot. The sound is now back on my system. I have no idea if the gaming features work, I don't need them.

Good picture quality
Picture quality is out of this world in my opinion. I’m not very tech knowledge when it comes to monitors but I guess I do understand the basics. I play on an Xbox one x and oddly enough, the Xbox or monitor can even detect 4K when according to the monitor it’s a 1440p monitor. But, never the less I’ve had a pretty good experience with it. I would recommend it if y’all find it at a good price!

Best for the price!
Build quality is solid, packaging was very well done which protected my monitor from a smash on the box from shipment. The monitor its self is as advertised. 1440p with 144hz for a very cheap price point but don't let the price fool you. It's bright, crisp and will last me a long time unless there's some unexpected manufacturing problems.

Awesome for the price
Had an acer predator XB271HU bmiprz as a main monitor and a 1080p monitor as secondary, as new AMD GPUs were coming out I wanted the option to have freesync or gsync ultimate monitor tech available. the gigabyte monitor is now my main monitor, it is brighter and has faster pixel response times than the acer and freesync works flawlessly with my 1080ti GPU.

Hums and unreliable joystick
Out of the box, the color seemed a bit off and oversaturated to the reds. This is something that could be adjusted better but I didn't do a full-on calibration to take care of it. Besides that, I was happy with the monitor's control options and picture overall. The reason I am ultimately returning this monitor and giving it 3 stars is two-fold. First, when turned on it emits a high-pitched hum. It's not loud, but it's there and it bothers me. None of the other 3 monitors I have on hand do that. I don't know if that's a fault of the product line in general or if I just got unlucky with this specific one. The other issue was the control joystick that's used to turn the monitor off and on and to make adjustments to the picture. It was unreliable and didn't always work. You are supposed to be able to press it and have the control menu pop up but that was very hit or miss. At times I would press the button and nothing would happen. Also, you are supposed to hold it down for a couple of seconds to turn it off but that didn't always work. Sometimes it would take a few tries to turn it on too. I think part of the problem is not just this specific monitor but the design of the joystick itself. It has too many functions and perhaps with a firmware update it would be a little more responsive. But long term, I would still wonder about the reliability of a one button for everything approach. I know for picture adjustments you can also use GIGABYTES downloadable program, but that's not a solution for powering the monitor on.

Experience Stunning Visuals with the GIGABYTE G27Q 27
I recently purchased the GIGABYTE G27Q 27" monitor and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The image quality is absolutely stunning, with vibrant colors and crisp, clear details. The 1440p resolution really makes a difference, especially when working with graphic design software or watching high-definition videos. In addition to the stunning display, the monitor itself is very well built and feels sturdy and durable. The adjustable stand is also a great feature, as it allows me to easily position the monitor at just the right height and angle for my needs. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the GIGABYTE G27Q 27" monitor and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a high-quality display. The combination of top-notch image quality, build quality, and adjustability make this monitor an excellent choice for both work and play.

Not For Gaming
Screen randomly goes black at the worst possible times, making it unusable for gaming. Very disappointing and absolutely not worth the price.
