Is it accurate? Tested real world accurate? Why have it if it's not?

I assume so but I have never brought a second thermometer along to compare it to and if I did how would I know if THAT one was right? It seems pretty accurate when I look at it.

I would expect that it is TSA-friendly. However, this device was so wildly inaccurate, I would see no need to bring one to an airport anyway. You could probably ask a stranger to provide a random number and have similar accuracy as this device.

Is it waterproof, or at least rainproof?
