one went bad in 2016
Have two A/C condenser units about 25yrs old....one went bad in 2016, inject this in with help of caulk gun while condenser is running, then after 1min, added R22 refrigerant replacement (ecofreeez); works magic after over 1yr....the unit still leaks free. Aug 2017; repeating the process now to my 2nd condenser unit. Most repairman will say system too old....and need to replace the whole condenser unit which is around $2000 for part/labor. Ecofreeez is around $150 if u get it during cooler months, $200 around warmer months; from Ebay. One tank of Ecofreeez is good for both of my condenser units, I just used timer and time it for 3min when adding ecofreeez into the unit with half a turn on the valve, about 2/10 still left in the tank, after charging both condenser units. These steps worth a try, if you're price conscious individual like myself.Product stated that "leak freeze" might not work will if hole/leakage is larger than 0.5mm (tip of ballpoint pen)

did not work for my ac units
I had a hvac tech add one syringe in each ac unit. Both failed in few days and eventually in few weeks. so I was not so lucky. I expected a least few months of extra life in the units.

Repairs medium to small leaks
It's a great product it works well for guys that know what they're doing and it doesn't plug up or stick valves or capillaries

Worked for me so far
I am a retired HVAC. I have always considered such additives to stop a refrigerant leak as a no-no, considering the product for people who are clueless on how to actually fix the equipment. In my own house, I have a Fujitsu ceiling unit where the indoor coil will get a type of corrosion where the copper gets tiny microscopic holes. I have tried to fix areas of the coil with this problem only to have it move 2 inches further away. I am on my third OEM coil in 7 years, Fujitsu says that they do not have a coil problem but only warranty the new coil for 30 days. ( I have other Fujitsu wall units without any issues) Anyway I tried this product in desperation, if the equipment blew up with the leak freeze then it is a good reason to replace the unit with something else. I used the leak freeze a couple of months ago and I had to add R410A refrigerant to replace the stuff that had leaked out. I am pleasantly surprised that the unit is still operating with a full refrigerant charge. It is not for the homeowner use. I had to close the liquid line on the outdoor unit and put the outside unit into reclaim refrigerant mode. When I got close to vacuum on the suction side, I removed the gauge and screwed on the leak freeze with its adapter and injected the stuff into the unit. Then remove the leak freeze adapter and opened the liquid line again. They talk about using a caulk gun to push the stuff in - not sure about that, I had some issues about the screw on fitting between leak freeze cartridge and their special adapter.

It may have slowed down the leak (so two stars) but it did not permanently stop it like the description says it would
I bought one of these for my AC system and one for my Refrigerator. It's been about a year now and I have had to add coolant to both systems on multipole occasions. It may have slowed down the leak (so two stars) but it did not permanently stop it like the description says it would.
