I have tried several of these extenders to be able to walk my 2 beagles on one leash. I have a a 6 year old beagle and a 15 week old beagle. The "lite" model is perfect! I think if it were the 30-100 it would be too tough for them. This one seemed perfect! I may have to upgrade when the puppy gets to be full grown, but not really sure yet. If so, I will be more than glad to pay the money for the heavier duty one as this item is perfect!! Being that I have a puppy, she twists and turns a lot and they never got tangled up. Beware if they walk behind you as it could easily sweep you off your feet if they each try to go to a different side of you. If you are looking for a solution to walk two dogs and not get all tangled up.. this is it!

Our dog trainer recommended a dual leash to better manage. I had bought one a few years back but it had limited function. The newer ones have swivel rings. I compared them on amazon and decided to go with Might Paw because I have had great experience with their products. (I bought their car tethers and gave them 5 stars). Once again they exceeded expectations!! I bought the handle and the leash. The beauty of it is the bungee and swivel do the dogs don’t get tangled up. And for me and them the leash length is perfect. My dual part of my old one was much shorter so there was always tension on the leash between them and did not give them enough room to potty without getting in each other’s way. This is perfect. And the single leash part that connects to each of them is long enough to correct one at a time. Note: this type leash changed the dynamic of the walk. Instead of having two tiny ( but mighty) forces pulling on me and tangling up, the leash distributes the tension between the 2 of them and my part of the leash handle remains tension free. Thanks to Mighty Paw for coming thru again.

I have a mixed lab puppy and a yorkie. The lab is bigger about 10 - 15 lbs heavier and drags the yorkie. This leash is very convenient in regards to not getting tangled and all in all is a great product, however I don't recommend using it with a small and large dog unless the bigger one is very well trained on the leash. I do still use it for quick walks I just hold the leash very short and tight so my yorkie doesn't get dragged. They have the best customer service I've seen in a long time they emailed me twice for my feedback and when I told them my concerns they seemed to really care. I'm hoping they come out with one maybe with one side a little longer then the other so it might work better with 2 different sized dogs.

This is a terrific double leash! I adopted two 1-year-old rescue Shih Tzu siblings and this is the 5th double leash I've purchased in the past 2 months and the only one that actually works! The reason it works and keeps the dogs from tangling is that not only does the coupler where the leash attaches swivel freely as you walk to prevent tangling, but the clips that attach to the doggies' harnesses (or collars) also swivel, adding an extra feature to aid in preventing tangling but it also prevents one dog from being yanked back to the other dog. The only problem I have walking both dogs at the same time is no fault of the Mighty Paw double leash but my 2 young dogs are so low to the ground that sometimes the bungee leashes end up under their legs even though I use harnesses. But my dogs are learing to lift their legs to untangle themselves. It's funny walking 2 dogs at the same time becaus at least once a day each dog goes in a different direction around a sign post or light pole but the Mighty Paw dual bungees have enough stretch so neither dog gets dragged back to the other. My dogs are 11 pounds each so I purchased the Xtra Lite Mighty Paw Bungee X2 Double Leash model for dogs up to 10 pounds and it is perfect and will easily work for dogs up to 12-15 pounds. The 1/2" wide bungee leashes are strong enough for smaller dogs even if they weigh over the 10 pounds listed in the specs. This is a great leash and it really works like it's supposed to unlike all the others I bought and discarded. This is the only double leash I will use with my 2 young sibling dogs. Do yourself a favor and buy this leash, you won't be disappointed. My review is specifically for the X-Lite, 0-10 lbs, no handle leash. Overall the product is very solid and well made... and for a 40lb+ dog this might be a 5 star review. However, the x-lite version is simply too heavy/large for the dog weights its intended for. My dogs are 20lb each but its still too heavy/large even though its for 0-10 lbs.When I say too heavy/large... the primary issue is that the leash is dragging on the ground. This is due to weight, since the bungee weighs more than a standard leash line, and the 24 inch length. To keep the leash from dragging, as mentioned in a few reviews, you must keep a fair amount of tension on the line. For this reason, its also not a good candidate for use with a retractable leash.These issues might be mitigated if the lower weight versions also came in shorter lengths.

I got this earlier than expected! Very sturdy and well made. Will come back and update my review once I bring my second puppy home and try this product out!
