I've been riding in a tall boots (synthetic) that have felt too "soft" so I decided to buy paddock boots that I can use in the barn and while riding (also Ariats). I had a cheaper pair of half chaps that were all suede and didn't give any support. I wanted half chaps that had some support. These half chaps feel more like tall boots, are comfortable but also give a little "stiffer" support. The suede on the inside is very nice. Leather on the outside looks really nice. Zipper seems very hardy. I was measured for Ariat boots last year and wear a medium height, regular calf. These fit perfectly. Not sure if they will drop as they are pretty tall but just below the back of my knee so I like where they are now.UPDATED: Have been using these daily and they have not dropped much if at all. Still very stiff like tall boots! Very happy with these!

I think it’s probably a thing with half chaps in general but I def didn’t get the size right on these the first time. I measured my leg and I still had to return for a shorter size. I bought these to go along with the Scout paddock boot and they look and feel great once they fit right! I’m hoping the zippers hold up its the only thing I’m worried about. Overall, very happy with these!

Love these chaps. I found the measurements for Ariat chaps and used them to find the size that fit me perfect. I am 5’3” and 115 lbs. Small Short size fits like a glove. Made with quality black leather for a classy look.

These are really nice chaps. However, after many times measuring my calfs, the first pair I bought were still too long. I would factor that in when ordering since you don't want them to pinch the inside of your knee. They are made in China.

Good pair of half chaps, a little bit stiff if compared to prior models of Ariat

These are so comfortable, fit over boots and pants easily while still being snug, easy to zip, and look really nice. I've had mine for a year and they're holding up great. I get compliments on them all the time.

A little tight but we're very satisfied. Good product.
