Reconsider your purchase after reading this..
Update from the first review.. the RPM stopped working, resulting in the bike shutting down 20 minutes into the program.. I'm done.. it's being picked up today... returned.... First of all.. let me say I have never been so disappointed in a product before. Before I begin I do want to thank the customer service reps from LifeCore, without their assistance the bike would have been carted back to Amazon. This exercise bike was to help both my wife and I rehab after surgeries.. I had ordered it and it was delivered on March 22, last night, April 20 it finally became functional as an exercise bike. When the bike was delivered the packaging was extensive, to protect the components and took quite a while to unpack, organize, lay out the parts and tools. There was an addendum instruction sheet that superseded the regular instructions, but it wasn't clear at what point the addendum instructions were to be used instead.. as a result I had to unbolt the seat and route wires differently and then rebolt the seat.. If I hadn't had long needle nose pliers the chore would have been darn near impossible. Finally the bike was together, the good points of the bike are the seat adjusts forward and back, the seat back tilts forward and back, and the seat bottom also tilts forward and back as well.. Good features as my wife and I are significantly different in size. The computer interface is easy to understand, buttons are organized well and the arm rests have a resistance "button - or + to increase in one step increments. It's a good solid bike similar to commercial bikes but not quite. When I sat on the bike I noticed that the resistance levels never changed.. it was one resistance and fairly hard. Using the computer console buttons didn't change it either. So I called customer service who when the found out where I lived rather than send a tech out, send a new computer console with a return label, however at first the return didn't include a pick up by Fed Ex.. but when I called back this had been changed and the return was no charge. The new computer console didn't fix the issue of the ability to change resistance. So I called customer service again, who then sent a new servo motor that tensions a cable which then pulls the magnet closer or releases it to it's further away, the magnet proximity makes the resistance change. However to pull the crank's off I needed to (at my expense) purchase a crank puller, Park Tool Compact Crank Puller from Amazon and it worked as expected. After pulliing the cranks off I unscrewed the clam-shell plastic covers from both sides and observed where and how the servo worked. A new servo was delivered and I guess they didn't want the old one back as there was no return label.. again.. no luck.. After calling the customer service again ( we're on a first name basis now LOL) a new plan of replacing the wiring harness.. so they sent out a new wiring harness and a new servo motor.. and this was delivered yesterday.. April 19.. to replace the wiring harness you have to remove the computer console, remove the mast that holds the console, clip the nylon zip ties and pull the wiring harness out.. to trouble shoot the wires I unplugged the harness and temporarily plugged in the new harness without routing through the mast.. viola.. this worked... so I routed the wires, testing the servo along the way and instead of using zip ties I used copious amounts of electrical tape. The resistance functions now and a month after delivery the bike works as it should. My take on this? the wiring harness is pulled so tight along the pathways and the bundles of wires are pulled so tight with zip ties that when the bike was assembled to ship the wires broke. My concern.. no quality assurance along the way, lack of attention to detail. I will be asking for compensation for my time and hours trouble shooting and tools to disassemble the bike and re assemble.. The bike is a good quality, over priced however for what makes it function (noticed this when it was apart) the best parts is the adjustable seat.

Heart Rate Monitor Almost Useless
I bought this bike from Pacillo's in western NY State. The HR monitor seemed a little sketchy when it was first set up.I was told, you really can't expect an accurate heart rate except with a chest strap. What about the ones at the gym, I asked. Well, those cost 5x as much ... but after describing how ill-functioning the monitor was, meaning showing a number above 200 when I know it was above100 during exercise, Pacillo's came back and checked out my bike. A cord had been cut during assembly. With apologies, they replaced it with a new bike.In the interim I got an Apple watch, so I didn't care about the HR monitor issue much, but every now and then I still use it, and it still starts off at a wildly incorrect number when I first hold the sensors and takes maybe 20 seconds to settle in. Sometimes it is way low, like 70 (having just checked my watch and seen the expected number, 105-115 when bicycling). Other times it is above 200.The bicycle itself still much flimsier than the ones at the Y, but it's inexpensive for what it is and I'm grateful to be able to get vigorous exercise when there's snow and ice outside, as I don't have a car. I just thought I would post a review, which I've been meaning to do for months. The guys from Pacillo's were very nice, but IMO these bicycles should not include a heart monitor at all if it doesn't function properly.

solid exercise bike
The LifeCore 1060RB is a solid and comfortable bike. I have used it for 2 years and it is still as good as new. Very easy to watch tv or read while riding.

LifeCore Bike: Forget About Repairs!
We bought a LifeCore Fitness bike about 5 years ago, and have used it moderately but consistently. Then the tension cable broke. The LifeCore certified repairman - who happily took our money to diagnose the bike's trouble - told us this part is unavailable and is back ordered. The customer rep at LifeCore told us they don't keep the parts in stock but have ordered them FROM CHINA and they don't know when they will come in. THAT WS OVER SEVEN MONTHS AGO. No replacement part, and we are unable to use the bike. Clearly, LifeCore either (1) doesn't care about or expect to repair bikes or (2) thinks we'll just buy a new bike because the repair is too difficult. We may buy a new bike alright, but it will never be another LifeCore.
