95% Organic Moisturizing Black Mascara with Organic Extract of Rice Brans and Coffee Beans

If I had written this review within the first two weeks of owning this mascara, it would have got five stars. It smells amazing - like rich dark chocolate, it goes on beautifully without clumping and where others have mentioned that it smudges under the eyes, I had no such problem. I found it to be long lasting and hard wearing. However, after the first couple of weeks of use, it seems to go much drier, despite it appearing that there is plenty of product left in the tube and coating the brush. This is strange, and leaves you working a lot harder to get an adequate amount of product onto your lashes.I have also found that I have to go gently when removing the mascara - if I rub too hard, it takes a few lashes with it! A good quality eye make up remover is a must.Despite these negatives, I would still give the product 4 stars for being free of nasties and generally doing a good job of being a mascara without breaking the bank. As mascara is not a long shelf life product anyway, I would expect a little degradation in quality as it ages. A good all rounder.

I wanted to love this mascara based on other reviews. I've most recently been using Green People's mascara which is a bit pricey, smudges pretty easily, and yet is a nightmare to take off--but looks great on.The slim metallic grey tube looks nice, and when you open the mascara you're hit by a strong, faux-chocolate smell: a bit much, but it fades quickly as the mascara dries. The product is quite... I don't want to say 'dry', because that would imply flaking, but it definitely doesn't want to go on your lashes. The brush is, perhaps, too dense for the consistency of the product. You really need to work at it to get any mascara onto your lashes (mine are super easy to see this on because I have long, blonde-tipped lashes) and I've never had to do that with any other mascara. It then clumps your lashes super quickly, but unevenly: you'll have four lashes glooped together, then two without any product, then two glooped together, etc. As another reviewer mentioned, the clumps don't easily brush apart with a dry brush. I find the best technique for this is to place the brush at the base of your lashes, wiggle it slightly back and forth as you go up to about the mid-lash, and then use just the tip of the brush to layer on a bit more product onto individual lash tips as needed. Way too much work.So, the formula and wand are a problem, and will keep me from buying this product again--which is a shame, because (for me, anyway) it does stay on all day without smudging, and it doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. It's relatively easy to remove (I use hemp oil on a cotton pad) but that might just be because there's so little product on my lashes to start with.Hopefully the company will continue to improve things. Until then, if any of you have a natural/organic mascara that you'd recommend, do leave me a comment. This stuff just doesn't cut it.

I bought one for myself, and another for my teenage niece, as I was uncomfortable with the idea that she was starting to purchase cheap, crappy high street mascaras that were damaging her beautiful lashes (nothing you can get for £1 is ok..sorry it's just not).Turns out after much hunting around for something natural/affordable, I found this. We both love it.It arrived punctually and the sellers discription was spot on.Although not waterproof (therefore not ideal for emotional moments or swimming), this mascara hasn't got many negative points.It smells nice and has a lovely consistency, with a nice rich, dark pigment, provided I assume by the coffee in it, which really makes my lashes stand out. It's not too thick, so it doesn't go all clumpy, but is quite evidently there after one application. The mascara never seems to overload on the brush, and the brush separates the lashes beautifully. The product is also easily buildable for extra volume. The oils in it keep it's viscosity fluid and even, stopping it from drying out, which means that even 3months after purchase, it's still as lovely to use as when I first opened it up. My lashes also seem to be in better condition now, even when I am not wearing it, which I think in part, must be due to the conditioning oils and nutrients in it.On the whole it is a lovely, affordable mascara that I will definitely buy again.

Yes, it is amazing. I was delightfully surprised. Very fast delivery, securely packadged. The product's package looks lovely and the container is very well made with metallic finish so it looks nice and expensive. The smell is devine- it smells of moca with chocolate. I love it! The formula is really good. Little to no smudging. I don't use a curler and so far every mascara I've used maintains a little bit of curl, but by the end of the day it's gone. Not with this mascara though. It keeps your eyelashes long, curly and lots of volume!The brush is really nice and thick, I've always used a thicker one so I'm fine with it. The shape of it is really comfortable and does a great job. However if you aren't careful you might get it clumpy. A friend of mine tested it and got clumps on her lashes (she usually uses mascara with really short silicone bristles) and I hadn't had this problem. So I guess it's a matter of technique and getting used to the brush. And the best thing is it's organic, natural ingredients and not tested on animals.Would recommend to anyone who cares what they put in close proximity to their eyeballs. Would definitely buy again for me and friends.
