Clearview Liquid Lens Protector – Invisible Nano Coating for Eyeglasses, Sunglasses, and Camera Lenses – Scratch, Water and Smudge Protection

I bought some cheaper replacement lenses for a pair of Oakley sunglasses. I was concerned that they could scratch easily. I treated all of the replacement lenses, all 10 of them, using one set of these wipes. Since then, while wearing my sunglasses hiking and at the beach, I have—predictably—dropped them and fumbled them a few times, causing them to fall to the ground, come in contact with send and gravel, etc. In the past, I would have started to notice small scratches. Now, with this treatment, I do not see any scratches. I'm sure it won't last forever, but, for now, it does seem to be working to protect the lenses. Since I was able to use the same wipe for 10 lenses, plus my phone screen (why not), I would say that this product works and is a pretty good deal.

I applied the product as directed to a pair of cheap sunglasses (with one lens with the coating and one without to test). Once the coating was applied, cured, and buffed, I then took the sharp edge of a paperclip and ran it lightly over both sides. Both sides scratched equally— there was no difference in the side with the coating. Disappointed as I am constantly having to replace sunglasses that I leave in my volleyball bag, which then get scraped from the sand that finds its way into crevices.

Please read this, before you decide on buying it. It works! It does what it says it does. It's not permanent and doesn't claim to be. One of the reasons it is recommended to get new glasses every year is because the coatings that are put on during manufacturing of the glasses, start to wear off in a year. It protects your lenses from simple scratches. It will not make it scratch proof from things like a paperclip. It is a protectant, not a repair liquid. It is for glass, not plastic. I feel it is necessary to make these points, based on the 1 star reviews I've seen. This product deserves a higher rating. I have used it on my glasses, smart watch and phone, as well as those of family members. It's easy to apply, but be sure to leave it sit for at least 10 minutes and longer if you put on a heavier amount. I hope this helps you make an informed decision.

I wanted to try to see if I used this product for mild scratches on my lenses. It didn't really help that issue, but I could see a difference when using lens cleaning wipes, or if I sprayed cleaning solution, it beaded up from the liquid glass coating the lens.

I tried multiple applications and it did not fix the scratches on my lenses.

My 5 year old son went through 4 pairs of glasses, coming home from school with scratches and scuffs all over his glasses before we found this. Coated the new pair with this and not one single ding or scratch on his new glasses. Every day I’m more and more shocked they still haven’t scratched. 11/10 will never buy new glasses without ordering this as well

I bought some surplus night vision. The ocular lens (eyepiece) coating had a massive amount of circular scratches where someone had probably wiped it with a dirty t-shirt. I got this repair kit without having any idea what kind of results to expect and initially I wasn’t impressed. The first coat seemed to do nothing and neither did the second or third. But I kept at it. 3 days and 25 coats later and the lens is almost perfect. I wish I had taken a “before” pic to illustrate how bad the scratches were, but seeing the difference now I am very impressed at the improvement. Keep the repair swab folded up and return it to its foil pouch between coats so it doesn’t dry out and it will get the job done. Just don’t expect instant results.

My glasses kept getting scratched after using this. I always use microfiber and cleaning fluid.
