Great product
This worked great for the back door on my house the kids would run in and out leaveing the door open and this was a cheap and easy way to keep it closed its not strong enough to latch the door but it will close it enough to keep flys out

Dangerous junk
We bought this on 4/18 and it installed soo easily! It held strong and seemed to solve the issue of our littles leaving the door wide open when going to the backyard to play. Today is 5/12 (less than a month later) and when my 2 year old opened the door the wheel & wire broke through the plastic housing & whipped through the kitchen breaking a glass vase.Thankfully nobody was hurt but I’ve definitely learned my lesson. Better to cough up the extra money for a self closing door hinge than take a chance on a gadget.

Simple inexpensive solution
I got this for an outside door to our kitchen. Our dogs have figured out how to open that door so it was constantly hanging wide open. This simple solution helps prevent that. It's super easy to install. Once installed it pulls the door back when opened. The one drawback is that it's likely intended for light easy closing doors. My door is neither of those so when it pulls the door to close it, it doesn't get the door seated back in the door frame but it does pull the door to the frame. This works well enough for my use.

Not a solution I was looking for
Sometimes our front door is unlocked and if that happens and it is windy outside it can knock the door open, because sometimes the door is still ajar. So I was hoping this would automatically tightly close the door in place every time but it does not unless you open the door wide every time, as it seems to need the momentum of the wire pulled out far out. So if you only have the door open a little just to get the door in, there is not enough force for it to close tightly. It doesnt help that our door frame and door do not line up as the door is set in more than the frame, but if anything you'd think that would give it more tension to the wire and want to pull in more, but it does not and the door does not close. It's useful if you open the door wide every time and you dont have to turn back to close the door.

Perfect!
This worked perfect for what I needed and negated the other items I purchased, but not upset. Some nights my dog wants out and I'll leave the door slightly closed but unlatched so he can push it open to get back in. I keep thinking I wake when I hear him come in, but then 6AM comes and the doors been open for 5 hours and it's 40 degrees outside. Installed this on the upper door sill and stuck the plastic hooks on the metal door. I can just reach up and latch it when I let him out, leave the door unlatched and later he pushes it open, comes in, and the door closes completely. Then later, I unhook the wire and the door won't close on me when I don't want it to. I might start coming up with more uses for this and buy more!

Great for when you have trust issues Update Fell off
The media could not be loaded. 2 updates Final update at End .I have a dead bolt as a door handle and this is useful as he'll for when I don't wanna keep my key or blanket by the door to close itPerfect and works We will see how long it last so far 40 door openings. Update as of 01/20/23 Works great hasn't ripped off wall I highly recommend mounting it 12 inches apart and The clear part is cheap and may brake if open door fast (word on street) Final update As of 02/05/23 The adhesive has Made the device fall off After about 5 months of use It finally has broken I highly recommend to not Open and hold the door as that's what made me assume the life span was coming to a end as I observed the adhesive make a RIP noise as I help the door open I then shut it and Pushed it back on before it ripped off but it still came off a day or 2 later after seeing it come apart from holding the door slightly open but Holding it open the mechanism is still working I will try and rig up somthing to hold the housing on the wall Wish me luck Updated update... Drilled 2 holes in my wall (didnt want to) To try and see if I could squeeze some more life out of this thing... I did I got a whole 13 days before I got wacked by it really hard as I opened my bedroom door with my hands filled Was unpleasant Overall I give this product a 3/5 Due to the fact it got the job done over the last 5 months Up untill it fell off the wall(Totally my fault opened it Hella hard and wide) Since then I've been having to mess with it every other day But for 10 bucks can't beat it I recommend the 2pack as you can get a second life for like 5 bucks more I'd pay around 8.99 for the product and for a 2 pack sub 14 bucks seems fair Item will last depending on usage Installing it properly will help it last ... Worth the 12 bucks... no Worth the 16 for 2...maybe Will buy again Yes...it's only like 10 bucks and saves me headache of Having my room door open for people's to snoop

I was skeptical... But it has held up
My wife kept leaving her closet door open and our dog wouldnt stop eating her lululemon leggings. For ~$10, I thought... why not give this a try. Wow I am so glad I did, it seems cheaply made but has done exactly what. we want it to do, help my loving (forgetful) wife close her door to save her lululemon leggings from being digested and thrown up onto our carpet, by are 1 year old bernedoodle willow.
