Oversteel Magnox: A sleeper hit.
If, like me, you've not heard of Oversteel, you might be hesitant in purchasing one of their products. After some research however, I discovered they were a newly established European Gaming-peripherals company that targeted the budget-mid range section of the market. The Magnox is the mid-range variant, and their most expensive mouse currently at £35 (which when compared to a lot of companies can be considered quite cheap) - yet this mouse is no cheap clone or rehashed Chinese mass-model. I took a gamble and I am very glad I did! The mouse itself is packaged quite unusually, in that the outer brown box features an Oversteel logo with the Amazon logo also featuring, which makes me wonder if they're a subsidiary, or a partner company. Inside, you have the gated mouse box itself which is relatively basic, featuring the mouse, it's cable and a small card directing you to where to download the software - all simple and clean stuff. The mouse itself has irreproachable construction quality - the rubberised coating is immaculate and so far hasn't proved as much of a grease magnet as those found on other mice. My model emitted no rattling, creaking or other untoward noises when shaking, and feels like the perfect balance between solid and still lightweight. The mouse weighs in at around 100g, but is comfortable and easy to articulate due to a well implemented set of large PTFE glides underneath (not something that's easy to find in the sub-£50 range). Dimensions are 13cm long by 7cm wide and 4cm tall - a large mouse on paper! Yet in the hand it feels more like a medium mouse, with gentle grooves and indentations that result in your hand resting over the mouse in a relaxed fashion - and this is coming from someone who enjoys using a CoolerMaster MM711! The primary buttons are OMRON and are rated for 50,000,000 clicks (again, a rarity in this price range!) the side buttons are well-placed and are easy to reach for anyone with medium to large hands. One might consider this mouse in the vein of the G502 or the Razer Basilisk, as it features the same grooved design and the DPI clutch (third thumb button); but of the three this budget offering implements it the most comfortably. The ledge rests just under the tip of your thumb, neither compromising its actuation or your comfort when holding the mouse. Sensor is a Pixart 3389 - top of the range flawless sensor. Not much to say about sensors these days, though it is implemented well along the thumb/prinkie grip-line and has an excellent LOD of 1 DVD. Naturally there is RGB as it is 2020 and we all know that RGB improves your skills by at least 20%. Not a huge RGB fan myself though I can appreciate it when it's implemented more tastefully. Happy to say that is the case here as it's confined to the bottom trim and the logo, which I quite enjoy - not too bright and flashy, just "interesting" or "neat". Further points - mouse is fully configurable with their proprietary software (though I haven't found a use for that myself) - usual features including DPI, Lighting and Macro customisation. Also, this mouse does have onboard memory which is another plus! To conclude, I think this is a great entry by Oversteel and I would consider their other products such as their headsets and keyboards because of the quality of this product. If you are after a mouse to assist in FPS games, and enjoy the benefits of DPI shifts that are key selling points of the G502 and Basilisk, I would strongly recommend looking into the Magnox as well - it's a trimmed down and sleeker cousin of the two.

So comfortable you'll forget you're using it
I'm writing and editing this review of this mouse using the mouse. Despite being a vivid RGB mouse with a ton of settings I tend to keep the RGB lights off which seems like a waste - I figured it's often nice when I'm basically showing off my PC setup to anyone and there's little value otherwise! That said, the various configurations available in the available software for this mouse means there's probably a setting you can have on most of the time that isn't too distracting. I've actually gone back into the software and selected, 'Colourful Breathe' with the brightness set to the lowest setting and the speed set to a minimum for a nice colour transition and minimal distraction. Seems okay. With settings there's a wide range of sensitivity, DPI, colour and macro options to ensure your mouse is just as you want it. Based on general reviews I read before picking this up some people favour computer mice which are on the smaller side - does it help for gaming? I have no idea. Given I'm tall with large hands this mouse is pretty comfortable for what I need (general desktop work, some programming, light gaming every now and again) and I have no issues with it. Had it have been a smaller mouse I doubt imagine I would be complaining much either but I guess that's just me. I've had this mouse for a good while now and it's general build quality and performance has served me well. I also recall the product came packaged very nicely and made me not want to throw the box away which likely a useless comment for most but something I remember when I first opened it.

Pretty ergonomic, Very Effective, Excellent Minimalist Design.
I bought this to replace my previous mouse after its scroll wheel failed, and for its price I would say this is a superlative mouse. The side-fitted programmable buttons are in an excellent position to be used by my thumb while using the mouse; my only minor detractor has to be the DPI adjusters atop the mouse- these can be difficult to reach using my middle finger (as my index will normally remain on the LMB) which can be a nuisance when gaming, especially if I find myself needing to change from a lower sensitivity to a higher sensitivity in a hurry. As for the styling of the mouse, its minimalistic and sleek aesthetic is both very nice to look at and feels comfortable in hand, as well as having the option to program different profiles to have a different RGB pattern- I tend to use the patterns to distinguish which profile my mouse is operating with at the time. *Note to potential buyers: you will need to go to Overwolf's official website in order to download the control software if you want to set up the additional buttons (Page Forward and Page Back by default) or to program the DPI settings and RGB patterns.* All in all, this mouse is very good as a mid-range mouse for both normal working purposes and for gaming, as I use it for both with few issues.

Nice mouse!
This review is for the "Oversteel - Invar Wireless Gaming Mouse" 10/10, nothing to complain about, accurate sensors and well priced. Looks sleek, feels nice, decently weighted and the battery is excellent. It also continues to work whilst charging/plugged in. Tried this product on a whim after having to return a Redragon wireless mouse, very happy with Oversteel as a brand, good product.

thumbs
[private sale. no vested interest or affiliation to any products purchased or mentioned in this review] casual notes for the fps gaming bunch: it's a nice enough mouse for the price, although i returned mine. it ticked a lot of boxes for me (shape/features/price) but, if you have subjectively longish thumbs and don't mind the thumb button switches being a bit squishy, non-crispy and kinda meh (i.e. not omrons) you might be fine with this. i was drawn to the three thumb buttons since i'd really like just one more button to ease up on some keybinds. notice the position of the thumb button set; it's a little offset from the centre of the bridge, towards the front of the mouse. on purchase i didn't pay much attention to this detail and, in practice, this meant my thumb could only reach the nearest two buttons comfortably without awkward overstretch to the third one. it's easy to check this positioning: just compare it visually to a 'normal', similar, gaming mouse and you'll see what i mean. also, subjectively, the left/right button clicks were a little on the loud side for me, although i am particular about using quiet gaming products. i dunno if these two switches are omrons, but the quality seemed on a par. anecdotally, the button press actuation distance seemed slightly higher than what i am currently used to (risophy a950, currently unavailable on amazon). hf.

Hadn't realised how much difference a higher res mouse can make.
I have used an upright mouse for quite a few years to try and prevent RSI but have never been totally won over by it. A friend who's into gaming suggested trying a gaming mouse because of the the higher accuracy so I thought this Oversteel Radium looked worth trying. I've been using it now for 4 months and have to say I'm amazed at how much easier it makes using mouse intensive applications. The increased resolution means that you can get round apps like Photoshop more efficiently and without the frustration of missing clicks. As a result, there's less wrist strain so I'm very happy with it. The fancy led lighting doesn't interest me but neither does it bother me. It feels like a quality product and I think it's very good value.

It just works. And looks great!
Ordered it with prime delivery, came next day as expected. Brilliant job as always. Can't lie I wasn't expecting much with a mouse that cost this much, but it exceeded all expectations! Packaging was great, and the mouse itself feels super ergonomic, smooth with adjustable DPI. Not to mention the RGB looks slick! You are able to go online and search for the software to download to adjust what the shortcut buttons do and change the RGB Lights but this is one of the first times where it just felt perfect right out of the box. 5 stars from me!

Buena calidad x precio
