Easy to install. Patience when running wire through hatch boot.
Great product, lights the back of the car nicely. Two installation tips: 1. One of the plugs does not have the pins in it. The pins (connected to the wires) are to be inserted after the wire is pulled through the hatch boot. Remove the fuse (or do not connect to power) when plugging in the pins. If the pins touch, the fuse blows. 2. If the tabs on the light don't line up with the car, move the light to the other side. These lights do have left and right fitment. Having said this the lights are super easy to install. The hardest part is running the wire through the hatch boot.

Need 7 wire converter for passenger light
I have a 2021 Prime XSE with after market window backlit switches & a 2022 Prime XSE with factory window backlit switches . I ordered 1 blue handle bowl light kit. I was going to try one and see how it works.I had no problem installing driver side blue bowl light for either vehicle. The kit comes with 2 different driver harnesses. I tried 1 for the 2021 model, and the other for the 2022 model. Both worked like a charm. The problems comes at the passenger sides(for both vehicles). For 2001 RAV4, I had the aftermarket backlit kit window switches installed. The backlit kit came with a 7 wire splitter(splitting power) to power the window light. I figured out that if I install the handle light directly to the car power, then the splitter to the window switch, it works appropriately. I made a mistake of connecting the splitter wire first(to car power), the handle light, then the window backlit switch. Nothing works. The 2022 RAV4 is a different story. It already comes with the backlit window switches. The bowl light went on to the driver side nicely. For the 3 passengers doors, a modification is necessary. It is not difficult at all. Just add 2 wires. As depicted, there are 7 wires coming from the car plug, but there are only 5 wires from the bowl light converter plugs. I had to add 2 wires to the bowl light at 1 & 3 position, next to that red wire. Just add the wires, from #1 to #1, and #3 to #3 position, installed the harness, then I have my bowl light.I repurposed the wires from the extra plug(for the driver's side) to complete the modification(thanks to another reviewer's suggestion). I did not have to buy any fancy wires. I purchased a depinning tool from ebay for $5. It literally took minutes to remove some wires(from the extra driver plug) and insert them to the bowl light plugs.I'd say, the whole work should take 20-30 min, depending on how familiar one is with the steps.#1 Black plug-7 wires, power from car. White plug- Bowl light harness plug 5 wires#2 The handle light converter wires-only 5 wires. #1 & #3 positions are absent#3 1 wire in #3 position installed#4 Depinning the extra driver harness to harvest the wires, using a depinning toolI'd say, the quality of the bowl lights is excellent. The kit is designed for easy installation. Upon installing the bowl light, just straighten the bowl light wires and insert downward through the hole behind the handle. Reaching up from under via window switch panel opening. I had no problem fishing the wires at all.

TOO BRIGHT FOR COMFORT!
I have the 2020 Rav4 XLE PREM.1. Installation - for the trunk, vanity and dome light was super easy less than 1 minute each. BUT the MAP light was a hassle. It isn't as easy it you would think; pop the cover and done, NOPE. You have to remove the entire unit of the map light; held by 4 push tabs tightly. Then you have to remove the entire front face from the housing; only then you can remove the map light covers. I hoped it was like the 2019 rav4 you see tutorial in youtube easy but its not, it was the harder route and took about 30 minutes of uncertainty of breaking the tabs. but putting it all back took less than 1 minute .2. Fitment of everything was perfect EXCEPT for the map light. you would have to use scissors to cut down the corners as close to the led as possible to make it fit just enough to put the everything together.3. The photo was taken at 10pm. I have Tinted windows 15% Rear - 25% fronts. These LED was WAY TOO BRIGHT , you can see the entire cabin from outside! I expected them to be bright as I wanted because I was installing a dash cam the night before and wished the lights was brighter. Order these bad boys and boom. WAY TO BRIGHT FOR COMFORT. Also the trunk picture, all that lighting was from the map and dome light. the little trunk light doesnt do anything. when its off its still the same. Maybe i just need to get use to them, but these are not normal brightness for a car to turn on at night.4. Pricing honestly guys, if these last more than a year without any hiccups for this kind of brightness compared to a lot of the single LED or bulbs these are too cheap. These should be a bit more costly. These are worth its current price. Lets just hope it last more than a year, at least give it that.NOW its 2022- Everything is still working perfectly. No flickering. No problems. I still so happy I bought these. If you go camping and off-roading as I did couple of time. These trunk lights and LED are like perfect spot light to cook next to.2023 UPDATE.- previously I mention it's too bright for my comfort. Now that i have a kid, the brighter the better, in parking lots, at night. You can see everything. To this day, everything still works. Still no flickering. Still no sign of dimming or burning out. Still the best purchase for my rav4 over the past 3 years for the price.

Works as advertised, though installation more difficult than you think.
This kit works as advertised (with 2024 Rav4 Hybrid). Installation is easy to understand, but actually doing it is quite a bit more difficult than YouTube videos would lead you to believe, especially fishing the wiring through grommet/boot that connects to the door. Though not required, I recommend ordering (if you don't already have them) automotive trim removal tools since this will make removal of some of the panels and the clips easer and neater. The manufacturer could improve the kit with better instructions, and maybe including a few zip ties and small trim tool.
