Awesome projector!
I'm super impressed with this portable projector. It is bright enough to watch even in a fairly well lit room, and the clarity is better than I expected. I also love the safety features built-in since we use it around our kiddos.

Terrible streaming apps. Requires a laptop or streaming stick to use
There is a built in Netflix app that is not compatible with Netflix. It was updated Sept 21 2021 (3 months ago) yet it is not compatible. You can’t airplay Netflix or Apple content from your phone to this. They acknowledge this on their support site. You can “cast” Netflix using Chrome your laptop (not from a phone).Same stories for Prime, HBOMax and then I gave up.Ttoo bad because the build quality, picture quality, and setup are all pretty good based on the 90 minutes I spent trying to get actual content working. If you don’t mind hooking up to a laptop or a streaming box like a Roku or AppleTV this thing would be fine. No thanks for me so back it went.

Good, but needs some fine tuning. Not great for pool area. Sending back.
This is a nice projector in that it is light, compact and charges quickly. The quick start guide and unboxing experience is good. The unique features are the 3-hour battery life, splash and shock-proof, however, it also has some downsides:-It does not support horizontal lens shifting. I was planning on putting it on the side of my pool to project in front, but it can't project that way and the projector needs to be right in front of the area you want to project on. You can use vertical keystone (automatically or manually), to make the image look good if you tilt it up/down, but no way to project to something that is slightly to the side.-It does not support making the image smaller/larger. Again, since in my case, I'm dealing with a pool so I can't just park it in the middle of the pool/water, I need to put it on 1 end or the other, so that it is perfectly centered with the screen it's projecting on. But since the pool is long, the image becomes huge and there is no way to resize/shrink the image (other than bringing the projector closer to the screen, which again, can't be done in a pool area).-The software is still finicky. Instead (or in addition) to having an App Store where you can download the apps, you should pre-install the most popular apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube.. I downloaded a bunch, but some like Netflix, said they weren't supported on that device, others like Amazon Prime wouldn't actually play the video. Couldn't get my phone to mirror/stream a video to the device either. They should just use something like Roku built-in as their software/interface, or you could just connect a Roku Stick to it and that should do the trick.-Could be a little brighter, because right now, you would only want to use it when it's dark/couldn't really watch anything during daytime.-Speaker isn't all that powerful..from about 10 feet away, you can barely hear it. But apparently you can use the bluetooth dongle/stick that comes with it to stream via bluetooth to external speaker (but I didn't test it).-Ideally, the bluetooth should be integrated in the device so that you shouldn't need to open the compartment with all the I/o ports (for charging, USB, HDMI, USB..), just to get bluetooth access via the provided usb stick..I have to imagine that reduces the splash-proof capabilities when all those ports are exposed.-Remote control isn't powerful.. from about 10 feet away, you can barely use it. The manual says the range is about 8 feet, which is pretty close. Luckily you can apparently use your phone (special app) to control the device but I haven't tried that.

Perfect picture, good brightness, and sound is not high enough.
The picture quality is quite good, but it seems the brightness and sound is not high enough.

The projector fails to respond....
After multiple attempts of trying to have the projector plays through WiFi connection and fail, I gave up and return is on its way. Completely a waste of time!

OK, but not bright enough
It's generally a good projector, easy to configurate. I expected the brightness to be a bit higher though. I do need to close the curtain to see the video clearly.Follow up after 6 months' useThe battery is no longer working. I must collect it to power all the time for it to work. It also gets disconnected frequently. Not worth the money if it only works properly for less than half year.

Amazing Color Depth, Autofocus, Autokeystone, Built Like a Tank, Just Buy It!
The media could not be loaded. We currently own a 2020 model Vankyo Leisure 3 Pro and this 2020 BenQ GS2. Thought it would be a good review to compare the two. These two projectors really are apples and oranges when it comes to quality. For a budget projector at only $120-$140 we like the Vankyo, but again the Vankyo and the BenQ are in COMPLETELY different leagues. Obviously there is going to be differences because they are priced much differently. But, we had no idea how big the difference would be. The video output from the Vankyo projector looks like a movie you would have watched in 2005 on a high end projector at your local University or PTA fundraiser. The BenQ video quality looks better than my Sharp flatscreen television. The noticeable difference is in the blacks, whites, and the amount of colors. The Vankyo image has colors that are not true to life. The reds are not a true red, blue not true blue, etc. Once you mix colors to get purple, teal, etc. this is really where it falls short. Also the Vankyo does not have true blacks (meaning the blacks do not get black enough) and the whites tend to overpower the image and wash out the colors). The BenQ on the other hand shocked us in terms of colors. We had no idea that a projector could look just as good or better than our flatscreen. Honestly this projector looks just as good as any digital projector we have seen in a theater. Although this only outputs in 720p it really isn’t that noticeable as projectors tend to give a softer image anyways. The Vankyo supposedly outputs in 1080, even my computer recognized the output as 1080, but the image definitely did not look 1080. There was pixilation, ghosting, and poor colors. Where the Vankyo at 720 looked closer to a true 1080. Okay, moving on from picture, here is where the BenQ really shines. THE FEATURES! I had no idea projectors now have autofocus and autokeystones. This is crazy awesome to have. At home with the baby and kids running around we are constantly moving and shifting the projector. Each time the projector instantly recalibrates (focuses) weather that be on the wall, ceiling, etc. We love taking this outdoors and in our small camper trailer. What made this one stand out to us is the fact that it can cast a wide image and a tight image. The wide cast is fun for casting on the side of the trailer or on a rockface. The tight is nice because you can use it as a small tv even inside our little teardrop trailer. You don’t have to be very far away from the wall to meet the minimum focus distance. Also this thing is built like a tank. We let the kids run around with it and use it. No worries about them hurting it. When you pick this thing up you can feel just how well it is made. When our friends heard the price they were a little shocked. But, after seeing it in action they all went out and bought one for themselves. It truly is worth the cost. Typically we look at projectors like novelty items. But this projector is truly a portable tv that can follow you anywhere and give you a picture that rivals most tvs out there. Was hoping my attached video review would show the differences in color better. Hard to basically take a video of a video, but if you watch it you still can see the differences I am referencing.
