KochChemie has some great stuff and some average stuff. This falls in the great category. Used to detail my engine bay. Tried this after years of using Meguiars Hyper dressing. I love the Meguiars. Affordable, does a great job. But this MP is a little pricey, but doesn’t need a heavy coat. Also, it can be applied to dry or wet surfaces. In my experience, it lasts much longer than the Meguiars, and it does appear to repel dust like the manufacturer claims. Ease of use with durability makes it a win. Plus, it looks fantastic when it dries.

Koch Chemie Motor Plast is hands down the best engine bay dressing I’ve used. After cleaning my engine bay, a quick application of Motor Plast leaves all the plastics, hoses, and rubber parts looking brand new. It gives a nice satin finish — not too shiny or greasy — which makes everything look OEM fresh. I love that it dries to the touch and doesn’t attract dust, which keeps the bay looking clean much longer. The product is also heat-resistant, so I don’t have to worry about it evaporating or leaving streaks once the engine warms up. Application is super easy — just spray it on evenly and let it self-level. The results are professional-grade with minimal effort. If you take pride in your engine bay or prep cars for shows or customers, Motor Plast is an absolute must-have.

I'm usually skeptical of "life-changing" detailing products but Motorplast has blown me away. I bought it to first test on the engine bay of my Corvette as I was prepping it to sell. The instructions are counter-intuitive, I'd expect any excellent product to have specific requirements for how to use it. Motorplast does....but it's essentially "spray it lightly on everything and walk away." That's what I did, and you can see the results in the picture. The only cleaning I did ahead of time was a basic spray wash and hitting some particularly bad spots with degreaser. Then I sprayed the Motorplast. I didn't massage it into the plastics, I didn't spread it out, the only cleanup I did was to smooth out a couple dribbles when I was figuring out how thick to spray it. The results are amazing, I can't believe how little work it took to take a driver's car's engine bay from "normal dirty" to "ready for cars and coffee." Based on the handful of cars I've used it on so far, I think this will give me 15-20 treatments. For the money and speed I'm impressed with the value and I'll be buying more.

Easy to use great results.wahed engine to ompartment with all-purpose cleaner, cleaned with brushes, rinsed with water, then blown with leader blower. Sprayed with the Motorplast and let dry. There was almost no leveling thatvwas needed. My 2007 X3 engine compartment never looked better.

Works well . Degrease COLD engine first , then let dry or blow off . Then use as a finish looks good , last for a while but depends on where you drive .

Everything you would expect from Koch Chemie. The engine compartment looked great! Got big complements from my mechanic. Be sure to use as directed.

I saw the Koch Chemie Motorplast & Green Star Universal Cleaner being used on an engine by Pan The Organizer. I also read the reviews (good & bad) of these products on Amazon & ordered both products for my 4yr old Subaru that had caked dirt in places (Have never previously cleaned any car engine). I started with the GS Cleaner 1:5, let it sit for a while then did a quick pressure wash with foam canon followed by quick pressure wash rinse. I left the engine wet then applied about 15 sprays of the Motorplast over every part of the engine, engine bay sides & anywhere I saw black plastic. 15 sprays was overkill but I left it going milky with the water & closed the bonnet. It was a hot sunny day & left it all day. When I opened the bonnet the result was better than expected, exactly like everyone's after pictures. The black plastic inlet manifold, radiator & engine hoses looked brand new. I ran my finger over a lot of areas like fuse cover, hoses etc & surprised it wasn't greasy. Very dry to the touch so will stay clean for a good while. The car doesn't get garaged & has been driven in heavy rain & some dirt roads in the 4 weeks since I cleaned the engine & it looks the same as the day it was cleaned.

It makes looking under the hood so good.
