Maxi-Guard Dental Cleaning Gel for Dogs, Cats, Horses, Exotics and Companion Animals (4oz), Light Blue/White

We have a 1 1/2 year old female Maine Coon cat. Even at this young age, she had very bad gingivitis which in Maine Coons can often result in stomatitus which will ultimately require all of the cats teeth to be extracted - a very sad situation. Fortunately a friend of mine (also a Maine Coon owner) was familiar with Maxi-Guard and suggested I try it. Fortunately Roxie our cat was willing to let us apply the product to her gums on a nightly basis (with the help of a treat or two). Withing three months, all signs of gingivitis were gone. Our pet dentist was amazed and now recommends Maxi-Guard to his other patients in a similare situation. I totally believe that Maxi-Guard prevented us having to remove all of Roxie's teeth.

I have tried so many oral cleansing products for my dogs and none comes even close to this one! I spread it on their teeth with my fingers and rub it in there for as long as they will allow me. A little goes a long way! One of my dogs has had the most terrible bad breath, even three days after a cleansing. This product has changed his breath but if I forget applying it at night before bedtime, the bad breath comes back . So I do not forget! I think its flavor is ok because my dogs, and even one of my cats do not fight me too much. The product was recommended by my vet

I been using this prod. for 15 yrs on Dachshunds. 1 drop on a baby toothbrsh befor bed. It really works to extend deep cleaning to 3 to 5 years. Or just put 1 drop oer day in their mouth will help alot. Dont allow them to live with dental pain. If your pets breath is bad that is decay bacteria. Pain is not allowed.

I'm not sure if this is doing anything because I also brush my dogs teeth every day. They don't like the taste, even though the package said it's flavorless.

I have an elderly dog that had terrible breath. She can't be put under for extractions due to a heart condition. I used other products like this, but they were the equivalent of mouthwash. The product actually works.....I tasted it and it does not have any minty smell or taste, but my dogs mouth is fresh and clean......AMAZING product.....

This product was recommended by my veterinarian. Previously my dog had tarter problems and the vet had to extract 4 teeth. Since using this product my dog has had no more tarter problems and in combination with a probiotic, he has not had any urinary tract infections. I have been using this product for about 2 years.

Messy it does not thicken to a gel when mixed it still runny. Dig runs when she sees me with it.

Veterinarians love to make money. One of my cats has a dental cleaning almost annually. The 13.5-yr-old has had 2 separate extractions (the second due to reabsorptive lesions). The young one is prone to gum inflammation. The vet is amazing, and recommended this about 8 months ago. I trust his judgement, especially when he said this product will keep their teeth and gums healthy. Maybe that’s why I haven’t brushed them daily this year. I haven’t noticed anything amazing, but I also don’t see any increase in inflammation. I plan on keeping this on hand.
