Does this case have air slits on the bottom case for the side air vents on the newer MacBook Pros with Retina Display?

I have a two year old MacBook Pro with Retinal Display so not sure if there are different air vents on the new models, but this case has air slits on both bottom edges and also has 2 extra rows of air vents going across the bottom. Hope that helps.

Can you use the shell without using the keyboard cover?
