Solid, Reliable, Flexible & a Great Value!
When I first moved into my house about 4 years ago, I used several Shelly products to add switches where I disagreed with the electrician’s placement. They have worked flawlessly; they are solid and reliable. Now I am remodeling my office which requires moving the UPS that powers my security system into an orientation where I have to move the control from the AC outlet to the 48V DC power line. This Shelly 1 Relay is the perfect solution. It is small enough to fit easily in my structured media cabinet (which is packed full). I glued a small magnet to one side of the Shelly1, and now it hangs on the metal shelf below the NVR that it controls. I wanted to use a Shelly1 Mini because it can support Matter for future use, but I think the Shelly1 Mini requires AC input; my application only has DC available.

Very stable wifi connection
I've been using an ESP8266 based homemade circuit before as a driveway gate opener, and WIFI connection would keep dropping. I was looking for a replacement, bought this because it has open spec APIs.This one is solid - works all the time, very stable connection. Pleasantly surprised. I've integrated it with Alexa as also with my own homebrew IOT.

Very useful, easy to use and install, and multi-purpose
This device works amazingly well. I'm using it to control the compressor in a fridge with a broken thermostat. Wired it up and everything worked seamlessly. Will likely be purchasing more of these.Operates on both 120V AC and 12V DC (based on jumper position), and integrates seamlessly with Home Assistant. The companion app is not the greatest, but you only need to use it once to get the device on your Wi-Fi. Once that's done everything works fine using the APIs.

No scheduling without access...
Setup was easy even though I had to factory reset it once (you just flip the switch a few times after powering it up). The app works well and there are plenty of settings to make it play nice with your network. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to use the scheduling feature because the app and built-in web page said an internet connection is required to do so. That is false!! It just needs a way to set the clock. If you have an NTP server on your network you're good to go even if the network has no internet connection.

Smart Garage Door Opener
I automated my Craftsman Garage Door Opener so I could open it and monitor from my phone.

Worked great to bring smarts to my bathroom fan
Worked as expected where I can use Home Assistant to automate my bathroom fan based on humidity.

DON'T BUY THIS TRASH!!!
Electrician here. The devices should be easy to install. The electrical side is easy as pie except that you need to use 14awg stranded wire or smaller to fit the terminals. The real issue is the app and connectivity issues. Their own app can't connect to their products which basically makes them worthless. I had hoped these simple devices would work to add a wireless switch to a very simple appliance. The shelly 1 connected to the app and then promptly lost all connection. The shelly button never tried to connect to the app even though my phone picked up the Wi-Fi signal when searching for networks.

Works well once installed correctly
It's fussy, wants to be installed a certain way. I had to give it a reserved IP address on my LAN before it showed up on my phone. I blocked its web access with my LAN firewall, it still works fine locally. I can turn my sprinkler pump on and off instantly as I walk around my yard for testing sprinkler heads (I have 3 wifi access points spread around my house), no longer have to get wet!

Easy Setup and Usage
Love it to bits. Easy to set up and even easier to use. For the price, you'd be hard pressed to make your own DIY version in such a tiny form-factor. Can be used with or without an internet connection.Documentation could be better written but there are plenty of example projects online for guidance.

Only got half what I ordered
The was advertised as a "pack of 2" Shelly One Switch Relays. I ordered 3 of these. This means I should have received 6, but I was only sent 3
